Historic Civil War Farm House

The David Stewart Farm is located in historic Gettysburg, PA. The farmhouse & barn were used as a civil war field hospital immediately after the Battle of Gettysburg. Located 4 miles from the center of town, it's an easy drive to the battlefields, local attractions and local restaurants. Baltimore is about 1 hour away and Washington, DC is 1 1/2 hours. You will be staying in a large sunny room with a queen-size bed and have your own private bathroom (shower, no tub). There is a second smaller bedroom (with 2 twin beds) that can be used if you have 3 or 4 people in your group. The kitchen and family room will be shared with me and my pets - currently 1 large dogs and 5 cats. They do have the run of the house so if you do not like pets or are allergic to or afraid of animals, this is probably not the best place for you. (There are many other great Airbnb places to stay in Gettysburg that are pet free.) There is a large deck and big backyard (100 acres) for you to hang out if the weather permits. There are a couple of miles of trails around the farm that you can hike or mountain bike. If you enjoy fishing, bring your poles along! There is a large pond with lots of bass, sunnies and catfish! I will be your only "living" host, but there are many others who reside with me. They have lived at the farm for many many years, some for hundreds of years. Yes, the house is haunted, but they are all friendly! I have been here for 36 years and have lots of interesting stories that I'd be happy to share with you if you are interested.

A completely equipped two bedroom vacation rental suite. Located in the Historic District of central Harpers Ferry. The Carriage House is a large unit with private entrance, two beds, full bathroom, and kitchen. The shared yard has a picnic table and swing to enjoy the summer weather. The Cottage at Dunthorpe Farm

The Cottage is a restored wagon barn nestled against the Blue Ridge Mountains. You'll enjoy quality, comfort, quietude, and pastoral views. We are a fully licensed and inspected B&B on a 1790's farm in rural Loudoun County VA. Each morning you are treated to a continental breakfast of fresh pastry, fruit sourced from local farms, and homemade jams which we quietly deliver by 7:30 unless otherwise requested. Note that the base price is for 1-2 people. Guests 3 and 4 have additional fees.

The White Oak Cabin

This 1850's one bedroom rustic cabin offers the option of 2 twin beds or 1 king (beds moved together with insert- upon request) and is ideal for history enthusiasts. A wood-burning fireplace adorns the downstairs, while the sleeping quarters are in the loft above. Decorated in period furnishings as well as an open air (no door) bathroom, visitors will get a more intimate look at our Country’s history. Pets are allowed and are charged a fee of $25 (first night) and $15 (per ea. add'l night).

For your comfort, this front room has been equipped with a burl wood four poster king bed, work desk with Ethernet and wireless internet connections. A double in-room whirlpool bath with twin showers offers you enjoyment by the light of the early 1930s pewter chandelier, and a private half bath completes the room. The ornamental fireplace, the marbleized slate mantle, 11 foot ceilings with both crown and chair moldings, lend an appropriate period touch to the decor of this dramatic room.

The Senator

The Senator B&B is conveniently located in Mt Joy, PA. A very short drive to Lancaster, Hershey, York, and many wonderful attractions and restaurants. The home is 120 years old with tremendous charm and character. Over the warm months the grounds are teaming with flowers to enjoy. Feel free to enjoy the many common spaces to lounge and relax. Please note that this room is on the 3rd floor and does require steps. It is secludes and the only room and bathroom on the 3rd floor.
