The location is fantastic — just a stone’s throw from the metro, and only 10 minutes to the city center. We really liked the area because it feels local and authentic, not touristy at all. The house is spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, and full of natural light. Niko is lovely and very thoughtful, which made our stay even better. If I had to mention something, a few things felt a bit worn, and the place wasn’t completely spotless, which we expected. But honestly, it didn’t affect our stay. I still totally recommend it and would definitely come back!

Very nice place (nice finishes, spotless, comfortable beds and floor mattresses) in an excellent location (quiet neighborhood 15mn walk from the touristic hot spots). Barely any common space which we used as an incentive to go explore the city :)

Very comfortable for 3 of us. It is within 15-25 mins walk to most attractions partly on narrow roads. Taxis can conveniently stop right outside the apt. The apt has easy-to-use amenities eg washer cum dryer, relaxing round bath tub, 2 toilets and 2 bathrooms, well-lit rooms on 2nd floor with comfortable floor mattresses. Little space downstairs if you have many big suitcases as stairways can be narrow to move them to second floor.

Very comfortable stay. Very very clean, quiet, easy access to train stations restaurants shops. Host answers all messages within minutes, and provides rides to-from station at check in and checkout. Good value. Highly recommended

This place is perfect for visiting Ginkakuji, philosophy road, and exploring north-east Kyoto and adjacent areas. The host was very responsive and greeted us in person. He gave clear instructions and good recommendations for food. The place is very spacious for 2-3 ppl with plenty of amenities. Interior is well designed with attention to details. Would recommend.

The place was walkable distance to Kyoto station and in a quiet neighbourhood. The host offered us snacks and complimentary Tea and dropped our luggage at the station which was very kind. The house is big with 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and 2 toilets and an outdoor balcony for washing and drying clothes. Overall had a fantastic stay

Great location. Lovely interior, Clean and well maintained.

The house was the perfect size to accommodate 5 people. It was easy to locate and the quiet neighborhood gave us a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. We alternated between taking the bus and train, which were both accessible via a short walk. The onsen bath was divine especially after walking all day. We all appreciated having the ability to do laundry as well.

The home is situated near the river and is next to a lot of restaurants. The home itself is very modern, Japanese style, minimal, stylish decor, and thoughtful touches throughout. It was quiet, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The host was responsive and provided clear instructions, making check-in and check-out easy. We really enjoyed being close to the water and having so many dining options within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!

The Hanna Bamboo house was outstanding. It was typical Machiya and the tatami room and outdoor garden were such a beautiful experience. The home had all the bits and pieces that we were expecting, and the location was so easy to get around Kyoto…walkable to Gion and the river, and easy train/bus to anywhere in beautiful Kyoto. Beds were comfy, esp the master bedroom. The washing machine was a great asset as we were on the road for a few weeks. Thankyou Hana.

Wow, this place was amazing. Our family of six had a great stay at Karen's place. First, it's a great mix of traditional style and modern amenities. Second, the location was perfect. Just south of Gion and walkable to multiple bus and train stations. It was really easy to get to where we wanted, wherever we were headed for that day. And the street was picturesque. There was a bit of foot traffic during the day, but the street surprisingly quieted down quite nicely in the evening. Just a great location. Lastly, Karen and team were super responsive to our questions and the directions/house operating manual was amazingly helpful (i.e. translating the various control panel buttons for us). This shows an obvious attention to detail that was truly impressive. Overall, just a great place. Highly recommended.

Yuan is so kind and helpful. Though there was a language barrier she went above and beyond for us by picking us up and dropping us off at our requested station!

A lovely authentic Japanese home. Well designed with all of the essentials. A nice quiet neighborhood close to amenities and the city center.

La llegada fue muy fácil con las indicaciones que se me compartieron antes de la llegada. La estación de autobús 17 que sale de la estación de Kioto te deja muy cerca de la casa, hay que caminar muy poco para llegar, lo cual lo hace super accesible. Zhang siempre fue muy atento y amable conmigo, respondía muy rápido los mensajes y tuve la oportunidad de conocerlo, una persona muy respetuosa y atenta. La casa no tengo palabras para describirla, es una casa de ensueño, el jardín, el estanque, la casa por dentro, todo estuvo increíble. No tuvimos ningún inconveniente. Nosotros requeríamos esa ubicación porque fuimos a una convención y tiene una conexión muy sencilla con el tren y con los autobuses que conectan toda la ciudad. Sin dudarlo, volvería a elegir la casa para quedarme; es una zona muy tranquila y pasa un río muy cercano, lo cual lo vuelve aún más bello. Gracias Zhang por brindarnos tu lugar y por las atenciones. ☺️

O local é muito bem localizado, a 3min do trem, do family mart e de templos. A casa é bem tradicional e organizada. As camas são muito confortáveis. A limpeza não estava 100%, mas não impactou a viagem.

仲間8人で使用させていただきましたが非常に設備も整っており 快適に過ごすことができました。 また当日の天候がすぐれずに気温が低かったですが、室内、室外の薪ストーブが新鮮で温かみがあり最高でした。 次回は暖かい時期に予約したいです。

サウナ、コテージともに綺麗で過ごし心地が良かったです！寝具はフカフカでぐっすり寝ることができました！ また利用したいです！

とにかく設備も揃ってるし、 全てが清潔感抜群。 プライベート空間としても塀が高いので良し。 また活用させてもらいます
