Formally a secret famous recording studio for pop-rock bands, it was known as “The Hearst”. World famous records by the Killers were made here, “Hot fuss” and “Sawdust”. The first room, (now bedroom) was the control room with recording equipment and the second room (now tub room) was where the musicians played. Welcome pets for a fee if $35/per pet -per night.

Air conditioning is provided for your comfort in the summer. A gated patio is available for this dog-friendly room. We do require a $35 cleaning fee per visit when you bring your fur baby. The Fairlawn Room is attached to the front side of the Main House on the northwest corner, a few steps above the front garden. With soft colors of creams and tans, it features a lovely ocean view with a private outside entrance from the garden pathway. • Rooms are sanitized following the Clean+Safe protocol outlined by Calif Lodging Assoc. Due to COVID-19 there is NO interim maid service. • Complimentary breakfast. • Lots of restaurants very close to Inn.
