Tranquil, that's how I felt at Eshab's Homestay. It was really a home away from home. The friendly doggos and the ever so attentive staff were always ready to assist with a smile. Food at the restaurant was delicious, the never ending cups of steaming hot milk tea, the drizzle of the rain and the cold crisp air was perfect indeed. We were regaled with karaoke at their bar and restaurant, and on our last night, upon the owner's insistence, we even gave it a shot! We stayed for 4 nights and it was worth it. We did a fair bit of sightseeing (Pelling, Chakung etc) and leisurely walks up to the monastery and the falls. They even provide you with umbrellas! Everything was well managed by the kind staff - Alisha, Rohit, Susma, Kabita and a few others including the happy and helpful young men who drove us around ( namely RK, Pasang and Tashi) - and the pleasant and chatty owner, Kesang's dad who was a total sweetheart! This was my first time in Kalimpong and I came for a research trip. Bidhya aunty and her whole family were extremely nice and helpful and I felt right at home :) There were so many cute dogs (and a cat) and the location was extremely beautiful with lots of opportunities for nice walks and hikes. The food by Binita didi was absolutely delicious and even simple things like the tea and coffee were so good. They always made sure to fulfill all my requests and I really benefitted with all their recommendations about local places to see and other things that would be relevant to my research. I highly recommend the place as the host is very genuine and sweet and never made me feel like I was staying away from home :) I will miss all of them a lot and will definitely return again to stay!

I visited Nakeema Farmstead with my parents for a quiet break from the city—and it was everything we hoped for. We didn’t have a fixed plan, but Mr. Deepak took the time to create a thoughtful itinerary for us. It helped us cover all the main attractions, but with enough breaks in between to truly rest. That balance made all the difference. Though it’s tucked away from town, we never lacked comfort. Mrs. Pranita’s farm-to-table meals were fresh, delicious, and made with love. She even made sure we had breakfast ready on early mornings. But what I loved most was how the place felt like family. Meals were shared moments. Even the elderly lady of the house would sit with us, and something about that made it feel like home. My mother has some physical health concerns, and they made sure she was comfortable and at ease throughout our stay. That meant a lot. Their staff were pretty responsive, too. I’d love to return for a longer, slower week of rest and warmth.

The pictures that you see on the listing do not do justice to this beautiful mountain village, tucked cosily in the laps of the great Himalayan mountains. There is a certain radiance to this place. The warmth with which Passang di and her family members greeted us made this experience extremely wholesome for me and my group of friends. If you wish to wake up to pristine views of gorgeous mountains alongside sounds of Nature, this is the place for you. Passang di has a beautifully curated garden space filled with flowers and plants of various kinds. The village has walkable paths which you can take to explore the quaint village called Syangbo. Dawa and Chotten bhai were the best guides! All of us felt right at home with the way we were welcomed. We even enjoyed a fun game of football with the locals in the evening. Passang di prepared fresh warm meals in her kitchen for us and we got to taste a variety of local dishes, which we all enjoyed thoroughly. A 100% recommend!

I would recommend people to come here and just stay a few days, don't plan anything, just stay at this absolutely amazing home stay with hosts who can be described just the same. There are 12 dogs and 6 kittens I believe, and all are vaccinated, extremely friendly floofs. The walnut cabin is really well decorated, loved the interiors and the view of all of Gangtok from there is breathtaking at night. There's place for bonfire and grilling food right in front of the cabin which is that we did, invited the others guests and that's even Priya joined us and that was a night to remember. The absolute gems that are kumar bhaiya (the caretaker) and Kumari didi (the cook) really went above and beyond for us and made the stay very comfortable. Food was delicious, proper home cooked without too much spices and oil.

Absolutely brilliant stay - if you are planning a trip to Gangtok please stay here! There's so much going for the place - the quiet surroundings with a stream flowing by the private garden, the well appointed and squeaky clean room and common area, amazing hospitality and warmth from Allen and his wife! It's the small things that make the difference - when we arrived late on the first night, Allen had a sumptuous home cooked dinner ready for us. We also looked forward to the tea and local snacks twice a day. Allen also helped us get in touch with a reliable local driver to get around, as well as nearby restaurants and home chefs who could deliver food. All in all, extremely superlative experience and can't wait to be back!

It felt like I walked into a dream! it took me a while to realise its a reality....absolutely stunning location and even more amazing architecture. Lovely host and people !
