The place was peaceful & well stocked and just plain perfect! We cooked mostly, played games, watched a movie made in Seattle called “the vanishing”. Hot tub at sunset! We finally had sun on the last day, but check out was early and didn’t get to sit out on the deck. Walked the beach though before we left, water was calm. And one last thing! Enjoyed your comfy beds & soft sheets! Furniture was well done!. Didn’t want to leave😩

This was a clean and well appointed place. We had our dog with and it was nice having a fenced yard. We had everything we needed. Emily’s instructions we clear and easy to follow. Easy check out too.

House was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. All the toys were a great addition for our toddler.

our family had a wonderful time, we used every inch of the house and it was awesome, clean, organized and convenient. we cooked several meals, kitchen is well stalked, sat together at the dining table and enjoyed the hot tub many times. the home is easy to find and close to many excellent restaurants, shops and outside activities. would highly recommend!

House was advertised, plenty of space and lots of things to do at the house. Kori as a host was great to work with and available the entire visit. Wonderful visit.

It was so nice. House is spacious and has nice view. It has many recreational options like nostalgic video games and pocket ball games and canoes. Zacoogee and whirlpool bath tub were so nice as well. It's impossible to say everything I enjoyed. I am very thankful for that.

We had a great time in this charming cabin. Beautiful location and private. Very well stocked kitchen. The wood fired hot tub was a fun adventure. Sarah was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

We had an incredible experience staying at Corrina’s place! From the moment I booked, she was incredibly communicative, offering detailed instructions for check-in and going above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome. The property itself was absolutely beautiful, exactly as described in the listing (if not better!). The space was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with all the little touches that made it feel like a home away from home. When we walked in the home had been decorated for Easter (we arrived Easter weekend). The view was breathtaking. A few of the highlights of our stay were the paddle boat and kayak. We spent hours cruising the lake. Corrina’s attention to detail and hospitality truly made the experience stand out. I would highly recommend staying here.

We fell in love with Guemes Island! We could not be more grateful to stay in such a wonderful and peaceful spot. We hope to visit The Woodpecker many more times over the years! Our 18 month old son had the time of his life playing on the beaches and coming home to such an inviting atmosphere. 1000 out of 10. Would recommend to any and all !

Our group of 4 adults and 1 child enjoyed our 3 night stay between Christmas & New Year's. Everyone in the group commented on how comfortable the beds were, and how beautiful the river view was. We particularly enjoyed the wood-fired hot tub amenity. The little desk nook in the bedroom was perfect for coloring, and building LEGO. We really appreciated that the cabin was dog friendly too.

Awesome weekend stay near North Cascades with pets and little kids! The house was immaculate upon arrival and well stocked with all the basic needs for the kitchen, including a really cute welcome gift of cookies and other snacks. The yard was great for both dogs and kids alike, beautifully lit at night. Appx 50 min drive to Diablo Lake viewpoint, 25 mins to the entrance of North Cascades NP. Lots of great eateries around if you don't feel like cooking. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Janett's home - it had pretty much everything you could want. A beautiful home with all the usual comforts, but also a wood-burning pit giving it a "cabin" feel. The view was spectacular! The rooms were all a good size, especially the two suites, and the beds were super comfortable. The deck and dock were great, and we wished we could have enjoyed them more, but the weather had other ideas. The only thing I wish we had done was contact Janett about the hot tub. We assumed it wasn't working properly because it was barely warm on the first two days. However, by the third day, we realized we just had it on the wrong setting! We should have just messaged Janett, as she was in communication throughout our stay, and I'm sure she would have saved us the trouble. In addition to Janett's home, we also enjoyed exploring Bellingham (there was a farmer's market on Saturday), and a smaller town, Edison, which was nearby. It was a great long weekend.

This was the perfect getaway! The home was incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a full kitchen and a hot tub right by the river—such a peaceful and beautiful spot. The location felt nice and remote, which made it super quiet and relaxing, but it was still just a short drive into town. Our host was fantastic—very responsive, friendly, and gave us great local food recommendations. Everything about our stay was smooth and enjoyable. We’d absolutely come back!
