Timberwood Tiny Home is a place to rest your head & heart in Efland, North Carolina. The peaceful retreat is down a country road approximately 10-minutes from downtown Hillsborough. The 200 square foot tiny home is on a private corner of 8-acres shared with our main house. It features Scandinavian-style details, two beds, a spacious porch, abundant natural light, a wood-fired hot tub, barrel sauna, cold plunge, and more. There are features of the home that may make it unsuitable for children.

TerraStay Farm Cabin 4: in Saxapahaw, 1/2 mi walk!

Promotions and events can be found on our website. TerraStay Farm offers sunrise-facing cottages in Saxapahaw within walking distance of the Haw River and all of Saxpahaw. The cottage is furnished with a queen bed with comfy linens (680-800 thread count), handmade furnishings, hickory hardwoods, a table for 4, a loveseat, a coffee table, and a kitchenette. French press & fresh coffee is provided. We are permitted up to four guests. There are up to 2 rollaway twins available upon request, FCFS.

Shepard Farm

Secluded and peaceful, the name of the street says it all: Sunset. This gated residence offers breathtaking sunset views across a sprawling 50 acre farm. Take in the landscape, complete with horses & cows, or retire to your exclusive guest house, complete with full kitchen, refrigerator, and washer & dryer. This one big room guest house has a king bed & queen sofa bed, and comes with your own door code, parking space, and private, fenced-in back yard for your pets. (pet fee applies).

Artist's Studio

Originally the studio of a visual artist (long ago garden illustrator for The New York Times), this petite building is completely private. Firm queen bed. Mix of antiques and artisanal built-ins. Radiant heat. AC. Mini fridge and microwave, electric kettle, Chemex coffee maker and French Press, excellent wifi. Unique space in one of the best country neighborhoods around. 6.5 miles to Hillsborough healthy grocery store, 8 to Carrboro/Chapel Hill, 18 to Durham. Serene pond and grounds.

Escape to our underground house, a hidden gem surrounded by woods. Ideal for 2-4 guests but can sleep up to 6, it blends tranquility with modern comfort. I am always tweaking decor and amenities, the home is very functional. built in 1958, so keep that in mind before booking. please inquire any special needs prior to to booking. you can take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Convenient to Cary, High Point, Greensboro, Asheboro. Lots of attractions, restaurants, entertainment. Quiet, light traffic. Hardwood floors throughout home.
