Holidays by the lake Unden

In the middle of West Götalands unspoilt nature with its lakes and forests, near the big lake Vättern, about 5 kilometers from the village of Undenäs and far away from any through traffic, the small country village of Igelstad is located, directly on the lake Unden. The village is a small collection of scattered houses and farms, of which some are permanently inhabited, while others are used as summer cottages. Here, in a large clearing in the forest, the small farm "Nolgården" is situated. The house is a separate, well-equipped classic wooden log house, built in spruce. It was thourougly renovated in 2008. There is a private bathroom, kitchen and private terrace, Internet connection (WLAN) and Amazon Fire TV (Magenta TV). A cozy fireplace and electric heating provide comfortable warmth. Directly from the house you can make nice walks in the unspoilt nature, pick berries and mushrooms, or walk to lake Unden, one of the clearest and most pristine lakes in Sweden. From the house to the west side of the peninsula, there is only 800 meters. Here you can have a swim or enjoy the sunset over Unden. The eastern shore can be reached in quarter of an hour via a forest path. By the shore a canoe lies ready for extensive reconnaissance trips to the beautiful deserted islands and quiet bays. But the area has much more to offer: the romantic Tiveden National Park, Lake Viken, Forsvik and the Göta canal with its locks, and the huge lake Vättern are just a few examples of interesting destinations.

Finner ni vårt mysiga gårdshus, som ligger mellan Kisa och Österbymo i Östergötland. Gillar ni lugn och ro och dessutom uppskattar att vara nära skog, natur och sjöar, då är detta boende något för er. Upplev fågelsången, vandra på den intilliggande vandringsleden eller gå bara rakt ut i skogen och plocka bär och svamp, valet är ert. Huset ligger högt, så man ser solen från morgon till kväll. Ca 300 meter från huset finns en göl, där man kan bada, fiska eller bara ro med roddbåten.

Fina skogsområden med promenadstråk och vandringsleder för svamp- och bärplockning. Stor chans att få se mycket vilt som rådjur, älg, räv och även Havsörn. 500 meter promenadstig till ångbåtshamn, badplats och fiske.

Bo på landet i Astrid Lindgrens Vimmerby. Gården Skuru ligger i närheten av Katthult och här hyr du ett eget hus på gården. 25 minuters bilresa till Astrid Lindgrens Värld Perfekt för gäster som vill ha en lugn och skön semester på landet. 2020 har vi renoverat kök, groventré och tvättstuga samt även byggt ett helt nytt badrum på nerevåningen. Här finns närhet till sjö med båt och bad. Varmt välkomna!

Söder om oss ligger Omberg som också är en av Östergötlands mest besökta utflyktsmål. Fågelsjön Tåkern ligger öster om gården. Här finns mycket att se och uppleva.
