Great location, nice spa and deck looking out to the river. Loved the "rustic" vibe. My husband and I were looking for a weekend getaway, and this was perfect!

Patty is the absolute best hostess!! Kind, generous, caring and helpful. Wonderful storyteller and as a rancher myself, a very helpful friend to have with her knowledge, skills and experience. Invited us to dinner, the cheese tasting was amazing…best cheese I’ve had. The ranch is gorgeous, the apartment is cozy and cute! Definitely stay here a few days, lots to do and this is a perfect ‘base’ to explore from. Would give her 10 stars!

Tiny but adorable with fireplace and views of the redwoods out every window. Lovely outdoor space with fire-table and hot tub and a fountain. We will come back to this little gem for sure.

We had the most magical stay at this off-the-grid gem tucked away in nature. The setting is serene, peaceful, and completely restorative like stepping into another world where time slows down in the best possible way. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and we were lucky enough to see so much wildlife during our stay! The home itself is beautifully designed and thoughtfully curated everything felt high-end, comfortable, and luxurious without being fussy. The beds were incredibly cozy, and the whole space had a warm, welcoming energy. As parents, we especially appreciated how baby-safe it felt. Our little one had the best time safely crawling around and exploring. The collection of kids’ books and toys was such a sweet touch! One of our favorite memories was giving our baby a bath in the outdoor clawfoot tub while soaking in the stunning scenery. Truly unforgettable. Despite feeling totally immersed in nature, it’s just an 8 minute drive into Occidental a charming town.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming and cozy spot! It looked just like the photos, and the description was very accurate. While it's not a new or modern house, it has a warm, older charm that felt both comfortable and well maintained. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the appliances you’d expect in a home, which made cooking easy and convenient. We were pleasantly surprised by how much open living space there was—more than we expected from the photos. Even though it's close to neighbors, the area feels surprisingly secluded and private—perfect for a relaxing weekend. We especially loved soaking in the hot tub at night and listening to records from the huge and awesome collection, while enjoying the warmth of the wood stove. Adam was very helpful and responsive, always ready to answer our questions and offer local tips. This place was perfect for my boyfriend and me—it made for a memorable weekend getaway

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the lodge for our one year wedding anniversary. It is located on the same property as their vineyard which makes for a beautiful, serene view and setup. During our stay, we did a very personal wine tasting with David in the main house. It truly is a cool experience and unlike any other wine tasting I have done before, not to mention the wine was very good! The lodge itself is cozy and relaxing with a private back patio looking into the trees and nature. I wasn’t so sure about the outdoor shower at first but it was actually really nice! Water warmed up really fast and the view is amazing. The bed is located upstairs which was very comfortable and cozy with plenty of pillows and blankets. If you have trouble with mobility, the stairs leading to the bedroom are not easy to navigate and there are more stairs from the parking lot to the lodge with some uneven ground at times. If you are fine with stairs and some walking, it is well worth it!

Great location and walkable to the downtown area. Outdoor area is a great place to hang out . Shauna was very responsive - impressed with how quick she responded to our questions. Would recommend for family gatherings with plenty of outdoor spaces to use.

We had a great time staying at this listing in Gualala! Off Hwy 1, yet close to shops and a few restaurants in this quaint town. Walking around the trees and being able to walk to the coast was perfect for out 2 day getaway! The cabin was cozy and comfortable, kitchen was stacked with everything we needed to cook during our stay. Would love to visit again sometime!

We love Barking Rocks Cottage! If you are looking for a private, peaceful, comfortable cozy little cottage hidden on the California cozy, this is the place. I just loved cooking in the well-stocked kitchen with ocean views and watching my kids fly kites in the front yard. Host Kelly always responds quickly and is so helpful and friendly. We’ll be back!

We loved staying in Richard and Yuka’s guest house! They were extremely friendly and welcoming. They met us right as we came in to help us get inside and get settled. Frou Frou (their dog) was so excited to meet us and loved pets. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The place is even more beautiful, private, quiet, and idyllic than it looks. And Marianna is incredible. She went above and beyond when we faced a challenge (non Airbnb-related) while staying here. We will definitely return. The wildlife at the river is beautiful and its own nature tv. You can’t see in the pic, but the fire pit, outdoor dining table, and hot tub face directly onto the river - stunning. And the cafe, beach, and grocery options are great. Thank you so much - see you next time.

Super cool place! Has everything you need and a comfortable bed. Three great sitting options outside, and the inside breakfast nook is cozy. Wish we had stayed long enough in the morning to try out the shower. We had an issue with the WiFi but both hosts worked quickly to fix the issue. I had poor phone reception out there so wifi was helpful to have. Would definitely stay again!

I’ve done A LOT of traveling and have stayed in many Airbnbs, but Mama K’s is by far my most favorite! The house is lovely and has more than the amenities anyone would need and, I’ve never stayed in a more CLEAN Airbnb before— all the tiny details have not been overlooked! This was my second time enjoying the space & I did not want to leave. It’s one of the most beautiful, spotless (and I am very detail oriented!) and peaceful places I’ve spent time. The grounds are absolutely beyond beautiful— from the lush yard to the incredible access to the Russian River out the back door to the outdoor shower and private clawfoot tub, the hot tub on the deck to the whimsical gardens, use of river toys (canoes & kayaks) and more! I had tears in my eyes when it was time to leave! I cannot say enough about this truly one of a kind and magical place. Thank you Karen for the opportunity to enjoy a true slice of heaven!

What a great way to spend a quiet weekend! The house was immaculately decorated, with all the amenities and kitchen essential. Would love to come back in the summer as it’s just steps away from the river.

This cottage is a countryside delight, tucked away on a quiet lane but just a few miles away from stores, from the charms of downtown Sonoma, and from incredible food options and stunning nature hikes. One of the highlights of our whole trip was the opportunity that Philip provides guests to enjoy his creekside garden. With the soothing rhythms of the bubbling creek and the gorgeous views of the nearby vineyards and distant hills, the garden, located across the road from the cottage and adorned with a cozy gazebo, was an unbelievably serene and comforting space. Philip had also provided us with an incredibly helpful list of local recommendations, and had stocked the cottage with books featuring historical details and stunning photos of the Sonoma Valley. While his recommendations helped us make the most of our time outside of the cottage, his thoughtfulness and lovely place brought us just as much fulfillment while at the cottage. Thank you Philip, for a wonderful stay in Sonoma.

We had a lovely stay at Candida and Michael's guest house. The cottage is very lovingly cared for with beautiful touches (and artwork!); stocked well with everything you need, much like a fancy hotel, including high quality linens and an amazing shower. The bed was very comfortable and it was quiet at night. Perfect location to walk everywhere in town with plenty of street parking. I wish we had more time to enjoy the beautiful courtyard. Communication with Michael was easy and fast. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend without hesitation.

This place is beyond words! I promise you can spend a lifetime here and still find new things every day that will amaze you, from their unique design of the space to the fresh picked flowers, a basket to pick your own eggs in the morning, flowers in your living and bathroom space that will make you fall in love and feel enchanted, to the amazing places to hike and get lost and take in spectacular views! You cannot miss out on the opportunity to stay here! This place is heavenly and even though you feel away from it all, you are close to great eats and all of the recommendations are available for you upon arrival to take the guess work out of it! So much thought has gone into this place so that you can just hit book and ENJOY!

Caz cabin is truly magical. This was my second time visiting and it was just as incredible! The cabin was so cozy, and the backyard wad enchanting. I never wanted to leave the porch! Can’t wait for my next visit!

The Dome home and beautiful surroundings were magical, comfortable, tranquil. The home had just the right amount of amenities, not cluttered, sparse if anything, interesting and you can tell carefully chosen. I’m talking about things like books, games, blankets, bath towels, delightful decor. The simplicity made it all the more peaceful. Even w my 2 school-aged kids. There’s lots of open space inside and out, plenty of room. We didn’t even utilize the sweet upstairs space. When there was a minor plumbing issue, the owners and caretaker responded quickly and made it painless! Would definitely come back.
