A restored stone cottage at 3,300 ft in Vagamon, Kerala. Off-grid eco retreat on five acres of forest — solar and wind powered, farm-to-table meals by Chef Anoop, no television, and real quiet. The cottage was once a labour shed on a working estate. Original stone walls, comfortable interiors, a verandah overlooking the valley. Not a resort. No pool, no spa. Our Handcrafted Home is a private home situated in Choglamsar Village, a suburb of Leh in a calm residential area with plenty of greenery. We are away from the buzz in Leh but still very close with 7km to Leh. We started building this house in 2019 with the idea to create a space which feels part of the land it is built on and in harmony with the ecosystem of Ladakh. We include breakfast in our stay and a vegetarian home cooked dinner is available at 500 INR per person.
