We absolutely loved this little home located on the creek north of Mount Pleasant. From the very beginning, Kathy was wonderful at communicating with us and made our transition to and from so easy. Her and her husband were so kind and helped us get our little boat situated in the water when we arrived. Our stay was exactly what we hoped it to be! Thank you for sharing your home with all of us. We hope to be back in the Charleston area again!

Great Lake view and delighted to stay there.

Our family and friends stayed during Masters week and appreciated the quiet, relaxing location that was only about an hours drive to Augusta, GA. It made for a quick morning commute without much traffic and allowed us to hop on the express way for a straightforward drive. The house offers plenty of rooms for multiple guests, and was exactly as described in the photos and other reviews! They did a great job welcoming us, offered suggestions on other activities to do in the area while we were in town. Our two friends who stayed with us made good use of the kayaks as well for some lake boating. It was so peaceful we didn't run into any other families, even though there are plenty of surrounding houses - the view of the lake is absolutely beautiful and anyone wanting a private upstairs master suite will love this location! Chris and his co-hosts were also incredibly responsive, polite, and helpful throughout our stay. Definitely consider this as a place to stay during The Masters!

.We hosted our family of 10 Thanksgiving at this beautiful home. Kids loved the kayaks and the dock. We took a pontoon boat ride with Captain Kenny- highly recommend.

My family greatly enjoyed our stay at Lindsay's home! The lake was gorgeous! The kids loved kayaking and paddle boarding. Home was as described. Lindsay was helpful when I had questions about the area...and was quick to help resolve the one issue we had(with the washing machine).

Wonderful weekend at a beautiful location!

My family truly enjoyed our stay. From breakfast on the deck overlooking the lake to fishing before time for dance it was perfect. The home was spotless and had everything we needed. Even though you feel secluded it was close to restaurants and shopping.

This was a great spot for our girls weekend! Beds were comfy, beautiful deck, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We were close to a grocery store and restaurants. We really enjoyed Two Horse Distillery!

Incredible cottage on the May River. Without a doubt one of my favorite AirBnb’s. The owners did an incredible job decorating and making the cottage feel unique and cozy. I’ve never would have guessed that the wall paneling under the wainscoting was roofing from the original historic house that was remodeled and rebuilt. The cottage guest house is located alongside the main house with full access to the beautiful gardens, patios, and pier. It is a serene setting and just so wonderful to enjoy a morning cup of coffee. We stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed more but we stopped as part of a southeast coast roadtrip from Virginia to Key West Florida. Our plan had been to use Bluffton as a stay over to visit Hilton Head Island. Not knowing we had booked during a busy and popular PGA golf weekend we were cautioned about the traffic in Hilton Head so we decided to stay back and just enjoy Bluffton and the cottage. This was the best decision ever!!

We had the most peaceful and relaxing stay at this charming cottage. The private pond was such a serene backdrop — perfect for morning coffee, reading on the porch, or just soaking in the quiet. The home itself was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. You can tell the hosts really care about creating a special experience. We left feeling refreshed and already dreaming of our next visit. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a little slice of calm in South Carolina!

Amazing place to spend quality time with the family and your fur babies…everything was incredible

We could not ask for more. simple, clean and close to town. He had everything you could need or want in the cabin. His recommendation of Blackstone cafe was a pleasant surprise. Best breakfast we've ever had. We forgot to bring our beach wagon and he was nice enough to deliver one to our door. If you are picky about your extra privacy, this may not be for you. We had plenty of privacy inside and didnt spend much time hanging out outside of the cabin so it's fine for us. They are quiet people and incredibly friendly but you do see the backside of their house. We like making friends! 😊 I am planning to go back next year one weekend was not enough l.

We had a wonderful stay! Very peaceful and relaxing. Had everything we needed. Great place to eat 5 mins down the road called mike and vinnys. The food did not disappoint! We will Be returning! Excellent host!

What can i say, its great. 5 minutes from the main lake, a lagoon/small lake in back yard. The house and yard are just what you need to relax. Its our 2nd time staying here with many more years to come, and though i may never meet the owners, i hope they know we will consider them family, if we do.

great little place super quiet

This is the true meaning of hidden gem, very private in a beautiful setting, both inside & outside the home. Highly recommend! The other gem we found close by was the Hampton Plantation State Historic Site. I've been to many plantations, and this one was extraordinary. Small fee to get in, due to State run, with HUGE impact on what life was like in the 1800's. The house is 10,000 sq ft (3 stories) and when repaired, the walls were left uncovered to see how it was built by slaves. The house inspired the actors & directors of the movie "Gone With The Wind", and the live oak in front of the house was saved by George Washington. So much history!

Lovely spot for a quiet get-away. Close to everything we needed. Enjoyed lake swimming, hot tub relaxing, and fire pit ambiance. Great view. We also enjoyed antiquing and thrift shopping in the area.

Joann/Monique, is an outstanding and incredibly responsive host—warm, thoughtful, and accommodating, even when we had last-minute changes. Her kindness and engaging conversation made the experience feel even more personal and memorable. Every detail is thoughtfully considered—from the fully stocked kitchen to the array of activities right at your fingertips. Whether you’re relaxing by the water, cooking up a meal, or just taking in the peaceful surroundings, everything you need is right there. This place is a true gem and an ideal retreat for all ages. It’s rare to find a stay where both the host and the setting are equally lovely. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind, reconnect, or simply enjoy a beautiful piece of the world.

We stayed at Lizard Lodge for 5 nights and it was absolutely perfect. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and exactly as shown in the listing only better in person! We loved the location and how peaceful the surroundings of the cabin were. Enjoyed walking down to the lake and fishing a bit. Enjoyed the fire pit one night and enjoyed the hot tub twice and sitting on the swing down on the dock and on the front porch. Enjoyed having dinner on the back deck and watching the birds. Saw beautiful cardinals every day. The beds were very comfortable - slept great! Most of all, I can’t say enough about Sabir and co-host, Jennifer. They were very helpful and responded to any questions we had extremely quickly. This cabin was perfect for my family and they all agree how beautiful and comfortable it was. I would not hesitate to stay at Lizard Lodge again!

The 5-star hype is legit! Tom's place was exactly what I was looking for and needed! Tom was very proactive with communication from reservation to check-in to check-out. Not a single problem or issue during my stay. So peaceful and tranquil right on the lake. Absolutely would recommend for anyone to stay here, just not on the days I reserve it for because I will definitely be coming back! Thanks Tom for everything!

The property is absolutely beautiful! The kitchen was well equipped and easy to cook in. Having kayaks and a paddle board were a huge plus for my active, waterloving family! My 8 year old grandson took a kayak out with his aunt in tow and was able to master paddling. It was convenient to Seneca. The driveway was steep but our cars navigated it without difficulty and there are a lot of reflectors for night maneuvering. My whole family agreed that they would like to stay there again.

sherri’s cottage was stinking adorable. we loved it so much we checked out and then decided to check back in and stay an extra night. sherri and lisa were great hosts. responded almost immediately to any questions I had. place was clean and had everything we needed. will definitely be booking here again for our next visit. thank you sherrie and lisa.
