Waiorau Homestead was absolutely stunning and exceeded our expectations. Our hostess Ann was extremely attentive and made sure we had every thing on hand to ensure a relaxing and peaceful stay. The most comfortable bed and luxurious down comforters and pillows were 5 star quality. Our room was thoughtfully decorated and felt like we were in a Parisian Hotel. A lovely buffet breakfast greeted us each morning which comprised of seasonal fruits, cereals , eggs on toast and croissants followed by freshly brewed coffee. Thank you so much for having us & making our stay perfect.

I came to Paul’s place for one night with my mom and we had such a lovely stay. The place was clean and well located. We had a lovely stay.

Loved staying at Lynne’s place. Such a treasure to meet her and Fred. Loved our accommodation and looking at the other stone cottage. Watches the bees on the lavander plants as we had dinner. Felt so at home and welcomed. Would come again when back in NZ.

Absolutely lovely accommodations. Everything was clean and comfortable. I was able to do a load of washing, which was greatly appreciated. Gary was great to talk to and made me feel right at home. Highly recommend.

The view from the room was absolutely breathtaking – I’ll never forget falling asleep under the sparkling Milky Way at night. The house’s location was great , with the bus stop just a short walk away, making it so easy to explore the area. The bed was incredibly comfortable (I slept better here than at home!), and I truly appreciated how safe and peaceful the entire stay felt. Peggy ’ve created such a special retreat, and I’m already dreaming of returning someday.

This is the most special place we stayed in our 4 weeks in New Zealand. The lodge feels absolutely like home and casts a spell you will never forget. Pete was a such a warm and funny presence—always ready with a quip or a laugh. The room we had, and the main house, are beautifully designed and the interiors are warm, authentic and serene. Extremely comfortable bed and top notch bathroom facilities. You will definitely want to stay longer than whatever time you have booked.

Jennie and Matt’s place is an absolute hidden gem! The room was fantastic, great location, just a short, easy drive down to town and the view from the property was absolutely incredible! Jennie was the most incredible host. A lovely person who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Great communication, helpful recommendations and even added little touches to make us feel all the more special as we got engaged whilst on our trip! Will really miss this place, looking forward to planning another trip back soon!!

Very kind grandparents, smooth communication，beautiful house, clean and warm rooms, convenient shopping, about 10 minutes drive to Woolworths. There is a large playground behind the house, and there are also many children's books and toys at home, which are very suitable for living with children. It was a very happy living experience, and if there is a chance, I will come back and recommend it to others!

Loved the animals (3 precious dogs and 2 cats and all the sheep and chickens) ! The place was so beautiful and clean and the bath tub was much needed after a long day of hiking. Croissants for breakfast were awesome too. Thanks Joanne and Bryce!

Great southern hospitality, definitely recommend

We had a lovely time staying in Jan and Jeff's beautiful home. The place is really charming with a gorgeous garden and hot tub and views of the mountains, very peaceful. Jeff and Jan were the friendliest and most helpful hosts. highly recommend!

Sheryl’s place is an absolute must for visiting New Zealand’s South Island! We stumbled on her place in a last minute booking, avoiding rain, and ended up staying another night because of how lovely our experience was. Sheryl is incredibly welcoming and friendly, and we loved chatting with her. Her house is not only stunning, but steps away from Lake Hawea— a must stay!

The house is in a great location, quiet and convenient. The house is fully equipped and clean. The landlord, Ms. Gina, is warm and friendly. She personally received us and introduced us to travel tips. I especially thank her for getting up in the morning to prepare breakfast for us. It's very heartwarming. I recommend it!

We had a fantastic stay at Chrissy’s place before and after walking the Humpridge Track. It’s truly perfect and Chrissy is a wonderful host, going out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Everything is provided, the hot tub is a luxury and the welcome is like coming home. If you’re in the area, I can’t recommend staying here more highly.

Hands-down this was the best AirBnB experience I’ve ever had - and I’ve travelled extensively. AirBnB should do a case study on Fred and Samantha, and the service offering they provide to share a template for what best practise looks like. Great hosts, lovely room, amazing cooked breakfast each morning - prepared with local produce and a scenic location. Could not have asked for more. A fabulous stay!!

We had a great stays with Joan and Kevin, wonderful hospitality feel like home straightaway :) The house is modern and squeaky clean. Also, beautifully surroundings with the nature, wildlife and lake. We will definitely stay again next time :)

Such a lovely place to stay! The room was warm and inviting—just what we needed during the holidays. Our host went above and beyond by making us fresh coffee every morning, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated touch. Everything was clean and super comfortable. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kristy's AirBnB. The accommodation was perfect—exactly as pictured—and incredibly comfortable. Parking was a breeze, and Kristy was a fantastic host. We truly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be returning in the future.

Ian’s historic Dunstan House is one of a kind. Expect a warm welcome and terrific morning coffee!
