Forge Cottage

We have recently updated this cottage ---- with a new kitchen with a proper hob and oven, and also replaced all the windows and even the front door ! The Forge cottage is set on our working sheep farm, on the Durham Northumberland border. Ideal for couples, or people traveling on their own, the cottage is a great location for local attractions such as Beamish Museum, Durham, Newcastle, Kilhope lead mining museum etc., but it's also great for those looking for peace and quiet and country walks !!

Our cosy converted 18th century barn, full of character and charm, provides high quality accommodation for two adults. The barn has its own secluded garden area, adjacent log store/laundry room, off road parking (see photos) and good local amenities within a few minutes walk. Ideal for short breaks, and for walking and cycling, the barn provides an excellent base for exploring the unspoilt landscapes of the Durham Dales, the stunning Northumberland coast and visiting nearby Durham and Newcastle.

A detached stone cottage in the heart of the north Pennines. Stunning views. With fantastic footpaths, cycle routes straight from the door for those with plenty of energy as it is hilly. Great base for exploring the area. With pubs and coop 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk. Recently renovated to a high standard but still feels characterful and cosy. Underfloor heating, induction hob and super insulated. 2 well behaved dogs only are allowed for a small fee. Sorry no other pets allowed.
