This was our third time staying at The Salt Box and we had another great stay! The property is beautifully and tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The location is convenient with the beachfront a short walk or drive away. We love the peaceful atmosphere with sliding doors opening the lounge to the private garden / pool area. Dining in is a breeze with everything we needed provided for. The furniture and beds are comfortable and views from upstairs never get old. Ame and Spencer are amazing hosts and are always super responsive and friendly. We also appreciated the thoughtful extras they provide. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

Very welcoming and gracious hosts from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Some issues we came across (coffee machine that leaked and a faulty LCD TV screen ) were dealt with immediately and we were made to feel very comfortable in the space. Rixie and Rui have a unit which is very well equipped compared to other places we had stayed which is a great plus! Things like sunblock, beach towels, beach umbrellas, bin bags, dish cloths as well as additional toiletries such as toothpaste and toothbrushes. One slight disappointment: The outdoor dining table on the photos was made to look as though we would have that space to ourselves along with the accompanying unit however it was separated and attached to the main house where the hosts live. Perhaps the hosts could specify that in the listing? Overall, we had a great 13-day stay! Thank you Rui & Rixie :)

Francy's place was exactly what I needed for a writing retreat. It's a beautiful, peaceful space full of thoughtful details - beautiful proteas on the dining table, herbs in the kitchen, cushions for the braai seating area, books to borrow and so much more. The estate itself is beautiful and full of walking paths to get lost in. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quick escape from the city within an hour's drive of Cape Town. Francy was friendly and communicative. Her dog Mia was a wonderful bonus!

Renee’s unit was fantastic, beautifully clean and very spacious and tranquil! Great communication from the host and would happily return and stay again!

The space was perfect for me, it's ideally situated for access to almost everything that Stellenbosch offers. Izette is a wonderful host and communication was easy. The interior has everything you need, especially the coffee! Couldn't have asked for a better place! Will recommend!

I had a fantastic stay at Renee’s place! The location was perfect—just a short distance from town, making it very convenient for exploring Stellenbosch. The property had everything I needed, and I really appreciated how secure and private it felt. Renee also added thoughtful little touches that made the space feel warm and homely, which was such a nice touch. I would absolutely stay here again next time I’m in Stellenbosch. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay here and Hein was really helpful with allowing a flexible check in and check out. It was a lovely area and the accommodation had everything we needed.

What a small treasure! Cozy, eyes on the details, comfy bed, just great for a get away. You need a car, it’s a bit outside of Stellenbosch. We will be back for more then one night! We loved the place and our hosts were really friendly and took us in on a short notice. Thanks 😊

Wir haben uns auf anhieb im wunderschön eingerichteten Appartment wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Terrasse mit Blick auf den Table Mountain war einfach grandios. Da das Appartment im ersten Stock ist, konnten wir das Grün der Bäume geniessen und es rundete das Ambiente des blitzblank sauberen und schön eingerichteten Studios ab. Carla war stets erreichbar und sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Unsere Privatsphäre wurde respektiert. Wir konnten zu Fuss an den Strand und zu kleineren Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und einem tollen Restaurant und Coffee Shop gehen. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Es hat uns sehr gefallen. Great spot in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. Faith and her husband were super friendly and helpful. The apartment is tastefully furnished and fully equipped with a beautiful outside area and pool, even better than in the pictures! Very clean and well maintained. We had a great stay and would highly recommend.

We had a lovely but far too short stay at this lovely establishment. Stay for a few days and make use of the quaint fire pit and the lovely pool.

It was peaceful and Loura was very nice. Will definitely return!

The host is extremely kind and accommodating of his guests. The surrounding area is safe and peaceful, negatives were that the place was smaller than depicted and the sliding door leading to the small garden area was not accessible to guests. We travelled for a wedding nearby - Fiona and Martin very helpful with suggestions and recommendations. Never too busy to greet and see that we were comfortable. Location excellent for shopping and touring Stellenbosch, Somerset West. Loved the views and the swimming pool. But most of all, the friendliness of all at Acara stood out and will bring us back 😀

Marilin and her husband Leslie welcomed me with great Joy. They responded swiftly to all my needs during my stay at their residence. The space was so neat and well organized. Very cool place with lots of calm. I really enjoyed my stay and wish to return whenever I am in capetown.

A visit to Jane's place allowed access to tranquil surroundings and views of the mountains surrounding Somerset West! A morning Nespresso on the patio was the perfect start to anyone's day and the hosts are friendly, inviting and take genuine interest in your comfort and convenience. With all the amenities of home it was an excellent base of operations for our stay. It is well equipped, clean, comfortable, easy to find and ideally located with on site (off-street) parking big enough for a double cab Hilux bakkie being a huge plus!

You get exactly what you see. We felt right at home! The suite is extremely spacious and modern. Leon is also a great host who goes the extra mile in communication and accommodating to your requirements. We will definitely be back.

Antoinette's home is lovingly cared for, spacious and very comfortable. The bed is super comfortable with crisp linens, we slept well every night. The kitchen is large and has every imaginable appliance and gadget one could need. We especially loved the barista style coffee machine and the gas bbq. The large garden is beautiful and peaceful. We spent 2 weeks in Wellington and enjoyed our time relaxing at the house in between visiting the many wineries in the region. Driving the Bainskloof Pass was worth it for the fabulous views over the entire area. We enjoyed chatting with Antoinette and she was always available if we had any questions. Very enjoyable stay. Very friendly hosts, felt very comfortable staying there. Riana always responds quickly to any messages/queries and always goes that extra mile if you need help with anything. Would 100% recommend and would definitely stay again.
