A bright and airy converted former blacksmiths adjacent to our house with wood burner, bedroom with king sized bed, a mezzanine bedroom with sofa bed (accessed via steep steps so not suitable for infants or elderly), open plan living room and kitchenette and bathroom (with shower). Kids and pets welcome. We welcome groups of up to 6 BUT RECOMMEND NO MORE THAN 4 ADULTS for max comfort. 150 yds from the Red Lion known for its real ales and within easy walking distance of the thatched Half Moon

A charming apartment located within the Grade 1 listed Layer Marney Tower! This apartment is situated within the main building of the Tower but benefits from its own private entrance and is completely self-contained. The barn is surrounded by the beautiful Essex countryside - rolling hills, ancient trees, wildflowers and grasses, hedgerows, horses and sheep. The conversion was completed in March 2021 and sleeps 4 adults in 2 big bedrooms. There is also a loft bedroom accessed by a hidden door with a king size mattress suitable for older children or a couple. Perfect for families, but note there is no enclosed garden.

Iron Pear Tree farm has been family run for three generations. Restoring the unused farm buildings has been a labour of love for us, and we wanted to make sure that we provided unique accommodation whilst maintaining the history of the buildings. The farm is a working one, so guest will be able to relax and enjoy the country setting, as well as get to know our animals. Views out across the farm provide the perfect backdrop for a country get-away whatever the season.

Relax in this detached former cart lodge surrounded by beautiful countryside and located in the owners’ grounds in a great rural location. The Cart Lodge can accommodate up to 5 people, with the Master Bedroom having a King size bed and the second bedroom having a Queen size bed and single bed. We take the utmost care in cleaning the property including disinfecting frequently touched surfaces between reservations so that it is safe for our guests upon arrival.

Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra steps to clean & sanitise frequently touched surfaces between reservations. Oakwrights is in the middle of Chelmsford, Braintree and Witham all only 10 mins drive.

Beautiful lakes, gardens, countryside and wildlife.
