We had a fantastic time at Fairytail Farms. We especially loved the lovable dogs that visited us frequently. The highlights of our experience were the tractor tour of the farm, the fresh apples and eggs, and the entire time we spent with all of the animals. We will definitely be back to try the farm to table experience.

Loved this place! Was looking for a place for me and my friends to stay for the weekend. We attended a festival out in the country and needed somewhere close to accommodate a larger group. This was PERFECT! Nice space, beautiful scenery, and I loved the game room! Will definitely book here again.

We had a great stay! We definitely will try to stay again if we have work in the area. I really enjoyed talking with Ricky on the farm. We talked every day, and he is a wealth of knowledge for the area and very welcoming.

We loved our stay at Julie’s charming farmhouse. As soon as you pull to the property, you are surrounded by a tranquil view and just instantly feel at peace. Upon entering the home we were greeted with a welcome basket of snacks and fridge full of drinks which was a nice surprise. The entire place was clean and smelled fresh. I even asked Julie which scent her wall plug was bc I liked it so much and she was happy to share. Her husband Tim was happy to give a tour of the property(it sits on 80 acres.) We were able to hunt during our stay. We also were able to fish from the 2 stocked ponds and I caught my first 3 catfish ever! We enjoyed our morning coffee taking in the views and at night. We were able to use the kitchen to cook full meals and at night sit by the fire pit down by the pond and see the stars. Tim set out firewood and extra chairs for us to use. Julie and Tim responded quickly to any questions and went above and beyond to make sure our vaca was enjoyable. We will be back!

Charlie is a fun, easy-going guy and excellent host! It was a pleasure staying in his home. The house is a historic farm house and he’s working to bring it back to it’s original charm. If you like the country and love old houses, this is a great place to stay. So much history in this small town in Virginia!! A number of friends and myself stayed with Charlie over a long weekend while we attended a dog show. Charlie couldn’t have been more hospitable as we came in with a large number of dogs. It isn’t easy finding a host that accommodate a group our size and we’re so happy to have found Charlie!

Aaron was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with from day one. He responded very quickly to questions. The accommodations were very comfortable. I look forward to staying there again.

We had a wonderful week staying at this charming home over Christmas! The hosts went above and beyond to make everything festive and cozy, with a real Christmas tree, garlands, lights, and more – it truly felt like a home away from home. The house itself is full of character, and we loved waking up each morning to the sight of the horses, plus walking around the farm to visit the other animals. It was also perfectly located near my family and the towns of Wakefield and Waverly. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

My family and I stopped here as it was halfway home on a road trip. It was so easy to get to and easy to get back on the highway too. The space was private, quiet and I jokingly told my husband I wish I had an excuse to come back because one night didn’t feel like enough. Awesome patio, comfy couch and the cutest decor. Seriously felt like home… maybe a little better.

Beautiful home with a warm feeling as soon you walk in , things to do for the kids such as board games, utensils for drawing and a lot of creative history and antiques to look at throughout the home. Very beautiful and clean stay, made you feel like you’re right at home! Kelly was very responsive to my messages and is a great host was more than happy with my stay during the new years ! Thank you Kelly ! Definitely will be booking again !!!
