I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

If you’re planning of a fantastic stay, then this Ginkakuji Vacation Home is just the place for you! The rental is the downstairs of the home with a private entrance and completely separated. Please note that the host family with dog（toy poodle） lives on site and may be present during your stay.

Just 6 minutes by walk from subway Imadegawa station. You can walk to imperial palace in 10 minutes. You can stay like you live in Kyoto. We have wooden bath with small garden view. There are wooden deck besides living space, you will have relaxing time at the wooden deck with garden view. Electric bikes are rent for free. [Tabitabi Shinsen] is a traditional two-storey machiya , which was built in the Taisho era with more than one hundred years history. The name Shinsen comes from one of the oldest famous courtyard in Kyoto during Heian Period, "Shinsenen", which is located near our house.
