Nobu and Ayako are friendly hosts who make your stay as comfy as possible. The guesthouse was very traditional and the location was remote and peaceful. The bedding was very warm and the heater was strong. Many stink bugs this time of the year! We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner, which was an additional fee that was worth it.

Absolutely stunning home! Very traditional and beautifully decorated, spotless clean and lovely design. Very comfortable traditional Japanese beds and pillows (floor mats), we fell in love and want this type of beds in our home now! Kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need! We had a welcome pack left for us- water, rice, Japanese tea and coffee with all the instructions on how to brew it Japanese way. Parking is outside the house. Kohei was very responsive and helpful- gave us loads of recommendations on where to eat and what to visit, so huge help! We were lucky and our stay was during Furakawa festival which was the highlight of our stay in Hida. Absolutely amazing and beautiful and traditional festival which was right outside our house. Location is absolutely amazing with the river nearby, loads of temples around, sakura blossoms too! Cute little local restaurants and cafes. People are very friendly- we are in love! We had no trouble finding the hotel from the train. It was a walking distance and it was quite a lovely walk because you see all the different stores and restaurants. We arrived early so we rested in the lounge and then went shopping and had lunch. Finally, our room was ready and we were very impressed with the decor as well as a cleanliness. We especially loves the outdoor onsen which made you feel really relaxed as you listen to the birds. Our next night was with another Iori property so they transported our luggage to the next destination (so that we didn’t have to lug it around on the bus). Overall, we would be returned!

全てにこだわり抜いた宿で、大変感動いたしました。 清掃が行き届いていますし、使用できるお皿がよくある白の機能的なものではなく、料亭のようで、食事を引き立たせるものを多く取り揃えてありました。 テラスが２つあり、リビングから続きの露天風呂が備わったテラスと桜の時期が楽しみの川沿いの2Fテラスです。 どちらも冬なので使用できませんでしたが、贅沢空間です。 しつらえが素晴らしく、西洋アンティークと日本の古民家の良さがマッチングしています。 インテリア好き、大人の方々におすすめしたい宿でした。

This is a lovely home in Takayama that is a perfect to explore traditional Japanese interiors and lifestyle elements. House is located within a 10 minute walk to the central area. Location is perfect. House was spacious and comfortable for 2 night stand. Kitchen had basics we needed for cooking breakfast or eating dinner. I loved the bathtub in this house, as it was very comfortable. Interior design, traditional details and minimal accents everything made our stay a great at to experience local culture. Two important issues that we faced: 1. Instructions to navigate the house were not present, and it was hard to understand the ways around it (entrance doors, navigating doors inside, water heating, replacing kerosine in indoor heaters). 2. There are not closets or storage for clothes. So be ready to keep everything in your suitcase, which was something unexpected.

It is a very beautiful house. The environment was impeccably clean, and the house was kept tidy. The host was incredibly helpful, providing great suggestions for nearby restaurants that enhanced our dining experiences. The breakfast was truly amazing. The house is a traditional Japanese style, featuring an incredible garden that adds to its cultural charm. Additionally, there is free parking available right outside, which is very convenient for those traveling by car. Overall, this is a highly recommended place to stay. The cleanliness of the house, the warmth of the host, and the delightful breakfast all contributed to a wonderful trip!

Taga's place was amazing!! Good location in walking distance of markets, very comfortable and homey. Wish we could stay longer! Taga is a great host, showed us around, responsive, even got us a Thai map! Definitely recommended!

Beautiful stay at this home. Super clean, the location is absolutely perfect to visit the town. Free Parking spot on site . We love the sauna. Couple of little things. It’s pretty cold downstairs where there is bathroom and kitchen. Even with the heating on. And the bedroom has big windows on both sides which has no cover. At sunrise the sun woke us up and it’s very bright. Bring a eye cover if you can.
