Such a cool little space in a peaceful part of Taranaki. The security of knowing my pup was safe and sound while I popped out was also relief. Ended up extending my stay and it was effortless.

We had an excellent two night stay here. The house is amazing, plenty of space and well equipped for big or small groups. We cooked both nights and had everything we needed. The games room is a lot of fun and the fire was very welcome. Our hosts set the fire for us the night we arrived which was very kind. Clean and comfortable. Plenty of space for parking. A car is definitely needed to visit New Plymouth and the surrounding area. Host was responsive on the app and the house was private in peaceful surroundings.

This is hands down the best Air bnb I have ever stayed and I’ve been to a few now. Loved it all from the stunning decor, to the generous produce and the outdoor bath was such a treat!

We loved our time here. We stayed for 2 weeks and felt at home. We travelled with 2 children; they enjoyed walking around the property and made best friends with Ricky, the dog. Lovely cottage, peaceful location and great hosts. Highly recommend this cottage.

Lynn is a lovely and kind host. She welcomed us with a cup of tea and homemade scones on arrival and breakfast including fresh fruit salad and homemade jams in the morning. The bedroom and shower room being part of the house are spacious, as is the rest of the house. The location is very peaceful, surrounded by her own gardens and fields, with her 3 friendly cows and goat. The house is full of charming character with peranacan furniture a feature.

We really enjoyed staying at Tiffany’s cottage. The cottage is extremely clean and tidy, decorated with beautiful flowers freshly picked from Tiffany’s flower farm, with the serene view of the farm from the deck. It rained half of the time during our stay there but the cottage stayed cozy and warm. The location is close to Nee Plymouth city and a few minutes drive away from the local beaches. It’s also very close to Pukeiti and Mangorei Track Trailhead going up Taranaki. Tiffany is very friendly and responsive, helping us finding the cool local spots and organic groceries and making sure our stay was comfortable. We had a great holiday experience despite the weather and we look forward to come back again in the future 🌼🌸

Peaceful weekend, super friendly hosts, we were welcome to walk on the farm with our dog, the house was fully fitted with everything and was warm. Peaceful surroundings, went for two good two hour walks. Plenty to do inside if it's raining.

Shelley's place is a such a peaceful place to relax for a night or two away. we really enjoyed ourselves and the slice that was left was also really nice! the stars and outdoor bath were amazing. would definitely stay again.

The view of Taranaki Maunga from the property is incredible!! I was expecting—but was still delighted by—the views of the ocean at sunset, but to also be able to see such a dynamic, majestic mountain was an honor. The clouds hugged the peak and cloaked it until the evening hours, and then the clouds drifted on and we were lucky enough to get to see it fully. Tanya was a kind and accommodating host, and we appreciated all of her communication with us!

This was a fantastic 5 star farm star. Everything was thought of, all small details and facilities were made available to us, there were so many thoughtful touches. Great views of mount Taranaki and very relaxing place to stay. We would recommend staying here and wish we had longer. They have set benchmark high with this property.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Carrington Cottage! This home is so peaceful, perfect for pets! The sunroom on the side of the house was my favorite spot to sit and read while listening to the wildlife (birds, cows, sheep). We loved our time here, we hope to be back again next year! Notes: - Yard isn’t fully fenced but it’s big - we enjoyed sitting under the tree and reading. - No WiFi but we had great cell service so it wasn’t an issue. - About a 5 min drive to grocery store - Private & Peaceful, perfect retreat for a couple! We highly recommend this Airbnb - you are close enough to the city that it’s convenient. Kitchen & bathroom have all the basics. Hosts were responsive with any questions!

I haven’t used Airbnb nearly as much as I used to a decade ago, but I remember all of the place I’ve stayed. I can confidently say Grant and Tracey’s place was one of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at! All I wanted was peace, quiet, nature, and good WiFi haha and everything exceeded my expectations. I didn’t want to leave their little slice of heaven! They were extremely friendly, helpful, kind, and had very good communication. Usually I like to stick to myself whenever I rent but I was more than happy to chat with them and be shown around the property and introduced to all the animals! I felt so filled from the moment I arrived until I left. I WILL be staying here again! Thanks for sharing your little piece of paradise!

Although Jilly was not there with us, she was very friendly and helpful on the phone, recommending good restaurants, and she let us use her kitchen for washing dishes. Lovely breakfast of toasted muesli, brown bread and home made jams and peanut butter plus coffee cafetière. Jilly’s garden is totally beautiful and peaceful, birdsong abounds. Really this place is paradise! We were there in a very hot and humid season but with open windows did not suffer too much at night. Nearby Bushy Park has some nice forest walks.

Holli and her lovely dog Brew’s place was a lovely home stay and the views to the Oakura ocean is beautiful. The night sky was amazing in this quiet and peaceful location also.

My daughter and I had a wing in the house and it was completely private. Great amenities; we returned home with clean clothes as the house is well situated for drying laundry outside. Our rooms were warm and with wide windows that faced the maunga; it is a very spiritual experience to have Maunga Taranaki watching over you at every angle. We loved having cats and other animals. Glenda is lovely, caring, and a fantastic hostess; we experienced excellent manaakitanga. Ngā mihi maioha ki a koe Glenda, me ōu kararehe maha!
