We really enjoyed our stay here - great wee cottage! Had everything we needed (and more besides - including a nespresso machine 😄) Good location, lovely and peaceful, and not far from New Plymouth. Would definitely recommend, and we'd love to come back!

5/5 – Perfect stay in New Plymouth! We stayed at Lindsay’s studio during our New Zealand trip and absolutely loved it. The studio is located in the quiet back garden with its own driveway and parking spot, which was super convenient. It’s beautifully decorated, with a lovely little terrace and outdoor seating. Inside, the studio has everything you need: a small kitchen with fridge, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, and all essentials. There’s also a cozy couch, a very comfortable bed, and a small bathroom with a shower. We felt incredibly comfortable throughout our stay. The area is peaceful, with the beach just 5 minutes away and the city center within a 10–15 minute walk. It’s the perfect base to explore New Plymouth, the beautiful nature around it, Mount Taranaki, and nearby hiking tracks. The communication with Lindsay was easy, check-in went smoothly, and everything was just perfect. Definitely 5 stars!

Beautiful Airbnb in lovely tranquil setting. Nice touches in the cottage and hosts were communicative despite not being at the main property. Does cool down at night but heat pump and plenty of blankets meant the place stayed warm. Record player is a nice touch. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

A beautiful Airbnb with many nice touches from the hosts that made it truly a 5 star stay like the well stocked kitchen with olive oil, spices, proper pots/pans, milk and plunger coffee and high quality soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the bathroom. One of the best airbnbs I’ve stayed at. Highly recommend!

What a truly fantastic stay! Roy is such a gem and is an amazing host. His place is the perfect place to stay in New Plymouth. You can walk to the beach and coastal walkway. Driving into town is direct and easy. And it’s not too far from Egmont/Taranaki for some great hikes. Roy made me feel so welcome and provided excellent recommendations on what to do in the area. I’ll definitely be back in New Plymouth to stay at Roy’s place again!

Lovely and clean and close to amenities, amazing deep bath and big bath and shower. Fast to respond to messages. Kitchen was missing a few essentials

Very modern, comfortable, cozy and immaculate detached unit. Private and has all the amenities, handy to supermarket and lots of parking outside on the road. Private entrance easy to access entry, and responsive host made for a perfect two night stay. I brought my bike and road from from the property to a number of great rides along the coast and following a river. The roads have good biking lanes.

This is a great apartment. Plenty of space for two. Clean as clean can be. Perfect distance from the town centre for an easy stroll. Clearer instructions on unlatching the gate would have been useful also shaving the front door so it doesn’t stick. That said, I’d stay here again if I’m in Ngāmotu again.

The 1 bedroom apartment was very clean and well equipped. Excellent kitchenette facilities. We really enjoyed sitting in the sunny garden space. Jeanette was a warm welcoming host.

Beautifully set with park like manicured gardens surrounding, making for a serene outlook from the kitchen. Situated next to owners home, yet completely detached & private. Location would make for a perfect stop over to catch some R&R traveling between north & south, also thoughtfully equipped for longer stays if say working in the area. Well set up with everything you could need, tastefully designed & spotlessly clean & fresh. Check in was a breeze & easy to find with clear instructions, kindly greated by the lovely Tina briefly then left to our privacy. Homely & warm, was the perfect soft landing we needed after a long drive in a storm. With prior arrangement Tina went above and beyond to cater to a special request we had for our stay, gem of a host! I was also extremely touched by Tina's wholesome hospitality even leaving us as our stay was at Easter hot crossed buns and marshmallow eggs, super thoughtful! Couldn't more highly recommend in every way, Thanks again for everything💞

We had such a great 10-day stay at EJ’s place! The space is beautiful, modern, and super comfortable. I loved all the plants and the fresh, clean smell of essential oils throughout the home. The veggie garden out the back is amazing too! It’s in an awesome location — just a short walk to the beach and a play area for the kids. Everything was spotless and felt really welcoming. We would definitely recommend staying here!
