Nestled in the hills our 1 bedroom cottage is the perfect getaway. With your own kitchen, full bathroom (shower) and a spacious lounge w/ fireplace, you'll have everything you need. Breathtaking views, gorgeous sunsets and stunning sunrises are plenty. The famous Te Apiti Wind Farm of the Manawatu can be seen from most parts of the property, along with the picturesque hills, old sheds and lush vegetation. Not to mention, it's a bird's paradise. Our cosy one bedroom cottage offers the tranquility of a rural retreat just 8 mins from Massey Uni and 15 mins from the city centre. Sleep in peace and wake to views of the Tararua foothills. The double-glazed cottage is cute, warm and spacious with a lounge, top quality Queen bed & bathroom with washing machine. Totally self-contained with hosts nearby if you need anything. Free wifi + smart TV with freeview and DVD player. EV charger (type2). Breakfast ingredients provided for first 2 nights.

Country seclusion

This accomodation is in a secluded country area but only 15mins from the centre of Palmerston North city and only 5 minutes from the Palmerston North air port. The dwelling consists of an open plan kitchen dining lounge area, a seperate bedroom with a queen size bed and a seperate bathroom consisting of a toilet shower and vanity unit. There is also a fold out couch in the lounge which turns into a double bed .We have chocolate lab dog Tui who roams freely around the property and is friendly

Putara Base Camp

Putara base camp feature a fully equipped kitchen, an open plan living area and dorm style sleeping area (6 beds are on the mezzanine floor, access is only by a ladder) with a capacity of 10 guest. You also have the option to pitch a tent. A separate ablution block with 5 showers and toilets. Nice big fenced grounds for the kids to play and have their little adventure. The Tararua forest park offers beautiful bush walk and is located 5 minutes down the road and great swimming holes nearby.

Country School Retreat: 4BR, Pool & Tennis Court

Enjoy a large old rural school house, with everything you need to host a family gathering, a get-together of old friends, or just some quiet time out from the city. With two double bedrooms, one twin bunk room, and one king single/double room, you can easily sleep 8 people. More can be accommodated with either air beds in the roomy living area, or tenting, caravaning or a camper van in the fully fenced grounds. Takapau Yurt Experience

Situated in the side garden by the main house on a privately owned sheep farm (42 acres). Stunning views across the valley from behind the yurt and mountain views from the beautiful native garden surrounding the house. Guest bathroom is inside the main house. Breakfast is included and dinner is available at request and additional charge from my fully licenced food truck. Local superette 5mins drive away in the village, several nearby bush walks and wineries within a 15 min drive.

Come and enjoy a quiet weekend away on our farm, so much to do , Enjoy the scenery of our farm nestled at the base of the Tararua ranges or go for a trout fish/ swim in the Mangahao river. Or u could do absolutely nothing and enjoy the piece and quiet. The iconic tui brewery is a great place for lunch and a refreshment and also Pukaha Mt Bruce is an amazing wildlife reserve is well worth a visit with the kids - both are within 25 mins from the cottage
