The Wheelhouse Inn - CROW'S NEST

The Crow's Nest is a standalone unit situated at the top of the property. It is the most spacious of our 5 accommodations with the biggest views. Every room has spectacular views over Tasman Bay to the ranges in the west. The Crow's Nest has 2 bedrooms ... the master with a king bed and the second bedroom with 2 singles. There is also a double pull-out sofa bed in the lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped with a cooktop, stove, fridge, microwave, tea, coffee, sugar and a full range of crockery and cutlery. From there you can move to the dining room or out on to the spacious balcony which has a bbq and outdoor seating for casual dining. The lounge has a flat screen tv, dvd and there is Free WIFI. The bathroom is upstairs with the master bedroom and has a shower, toilet and also a washing machine and dryer. Free parking is directly outside your accommodation and the whole unit is surrounded by native bush.

There is a seperate sleeping pod with a Queen size bed 2 metres from main dwelling for an extra 2 guests. Amazing second Hot outdoor shower under the trees.

We have a sculpture garden and gallery on site showcasing the work of David Carson and other artists. Free entry to our guests. The handcrafted and wool insulated yurt is warm and cosy year round and has a skylight to gaze at the stars at night. A private retreat in the native bush with outdoor kitchen, bath/shower and composting toilet all with amazing views of the Motueka river valley and the Tasman Bay beyond.

Quiet and cosy Motueka

The master bedroom and en-suite in my home is set up as a private Airbnb room. It has its own car parking area, entrance door, and kitchenette. I live in the rest of the house. So its like staying in your own motel room but without that usual bland and touristy motel feeling.
