A wonderful property with a spectacular sea view! Very comfortable accommodation on a well-kept, quiet site. We loved sitting out on the deck listening to the waves lapping the beach and the birds singing in the trees. We found some wonderful walking trails right from the site which gave us Nightingales and Turtle Doves - such awesome birds to hear. We cannot wait to return!

We loved everything about the Blue House and look forward to staying again in the future. It was perfect. Special thanks to Vicky and Eva for our welcome gift, very thoughtful of you.

Great location to get to the beach which is dog friendly year round in Holland-on-Sea. A nice walk to Clacton-On-Sea or Frinton-on-sea. Lovely place with lots of amenities for your stay. Also Colin’s Fish & chips shop was recommended by Stacy, it might have been the best fish & chips I’ve had.

Petra was such a friendly lady very swift to respond to any messages , easy to fine and warmly greeted when arrived . The annex was spotless and very comfy more than enough cooking facilities and all clean and well kept , perfect location directly opposite sea where our dog was in her element constantly playing and paddling in the sea , our 12 year old daughter loves it also and the visit to Clacton pier which is 5 minute drive away and plenty of free parking was lovely and all very clean and looked after . Would recommend this stay to anyone either couples small families and even welcome with dogs (even had dog crate so we didn’t have to bring our own ) . While there were left alone and sneered any messages swiftly when we asked for best places around. Wouldn’t hesitate to return again x Loved our stay and thank you for the little food tokens that were left for our stay ❤️

Great house, exactly as described and shown. Perfect for the whole family ranging from late teens to my nonagenerian in-laws. Location was good for the beach, Meare's Lake and Mini Golf with Aldeburgh a 5 minute drive or 40 minute walk. We would definitely visit again!

Lorna was friendly and helpful throughout. Accommodation was cosy and well equipped. Easy access to excellent local walks and short drives to beautiful and interesting locations - both historical and scenic - plus coast 25 mins away. We even saw a deer in the back garden at one point!

We booked this property to celebrate our son’s first birthday. We liked the pictures and it was exactly the same. It’s a beautiful home. We didn’t have any problem during our stay and if had any question, Lindsey was very prompt to respond. If someone looking for homely vibe, this is your place. Whenever we are visiting again, we will again book this place.

This was a multi purpose trip which included some R&R. The property met all our needs perfectly; it is spacious and really well equipped - beyond the usual. A real 'home from home'. Gorgeous garden. The couple of queries we raised with Zoe were responded to promptly and efficiently. A lovely property, a great stay. Thank you so much.

We had a lovely stay. Nice and spacious with everything we needed. Lots of seating when family came over. Alice was quick to respond when needed. The baby loved running up and down and seeing the chickens. Would love to come back in summer when the weathers better to explore more

Extremely clean. Sauces etc in kitchen was unexpected and a very nice touch . Ditto Extra duvets, pillows in wardrobes. Shampoo etc in bathroom. Single beds very comfy. Double bed has a firm mattress. Very nice stay. Would definitely stay here again

We had a lovely stay at Hawthorn Lodge . The space was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Bed and bedding was so comfortable . Marina left us lovely little welcome gifts and was a wonderful host . Lots of beautiful walks , lovely and peaceful and vert private. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will 100% be back
