We've hosted lovely folks from all over the world since 2017 in our family home--and now, we embark on a renovation journey. Changes for 2/1/26 + New sleeping arrangement; double-bunk bed replaced with 1 King bed + House capacity changes from 10 to 8 + Upgrading living room sofas and chairs + Repainting 3 rooms This is just the start of a broader vision we expect to complete by 2028. This house is a comfy, cozy, 2 bedroom, 1 bath house built in the early 1900's and recently updated. It is in the heart of the Black Hills, minutes from Deadwood. It is close to skiing and snowmobiling in the winter; hiking, sightseeing and fishing in the summer. The deck overlooking Lead offers a space in the sun or a covered portion for shade. Four person hot tub and fireplace makes the end of day so relaxing! Be aware, there are 32 stairs from street to house. Trailer parking available.

This is a great place to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature after a long day vacationing. Sleeps six with a secure fenced yard for the safety of your pets. Located in beautiful Maitland Canyon with seasonal Falsebottom Creek right off the private back deck featuring a BBQ and outdoor table. We have lived here for 40 years and are still amazed with the beauty of the Northern Black Hills. Close to so much, but with a real connection to the pristine nature that the Black Hills are famous for.

Historic 3-bedroom home, in a great location!

Fall is a beautiful time of the year to visit the Black Hills! Our 120 year-old home is located within walking distance of Lynn's DakotaMart grocery store, The Hearst Library, Roundhouse Liquors, Shiver's Brewery, and a great breakfast venue, That Place. Lewie's Burgers and The Stampmill are a very short drive. It's a quick drive to Deadwood. You can be on the ski/hike/bike/snowmobile trails in 1-4 minutes. The Mining Museum and Sanford Lab are close by. Note: The house does NOT have Wifi.

This is the perfect location to access hiking, biking, scenic drives, and tourist attractions. **As we head into the winter months we want you to know that the Black Hills can receive significant snowfall. You can enjoy all of the accessibility of Terry Peak without the crowds from the comfort of our home! Kick your feet up, enjoy the solitude of the Black Hills, and enjoy some time in our dry sauna! Bring your skis, snowboard, side by side, or snowmobile and use this as your base camp for your trip to South Dakota!

The Old Front Porch

Deadwood’s Old Front Porch as featured in Destination Deadwood Magazine. The Old Front Porch was built in the late 1800’s and it has been renovated with some modern touches, while keeping the historic character of the home. Downtown Deadwood is just over half a mile, and you can access the Mickelson Trail with a three-minute walk. The Deadwood Trolley stops in front of the house and will take you almost anywhere in Deadwood for $2!
