Bench 170 is a very special spot. As my nephew said on arrival, it's 10 out of 10. The house is beautiful and everything was of top quality, the proximity to the beach so great, and we've never experienced such thoughtful touches in all our combined travels. The home had everything we could anticipate, including laundry facilities, pantry items, toys for kids. It was a great combination of a gorgeous holiday home and it being a comfortable livable spot.

Loved this little cottage. Prettier than pictured. Very comfortable and super efficient.

Jennifer's house was perfect for us! The house is really cozy, beautiful outdoor spaces, quiet neighborhood with a lovely view of the mountains from the back deck. We especially appreciated that the kitchen was replete with good cookware! Jennifer was was very responsive and communicated really well. I'd highly recommend her home to anybody considering a visit to this lovely part of the island

This location was perfectly central to the attractions we planned on visiting, not to mention the breathtaking views! One of the cleanest properties I’ve stayed in with Airbnb and also contained all you needed everywhere from toiletries to bbq tools ! We will definitely be back and highly recommended this place to friends !

We had a great time staying at Sandra and Rebecca's place! It's so nice to stay at an Airbnb that still puts in the thoughtful extras - they have considered EVERYTHING! Zero complaints. Wonderful hosts.

Fantastic host, beautiful place high in the hills above little Qualicum. Great hosts and very thoughtful. Beautiful views over the snow topped trees and a great place to unwind. Really well stocked kitchen and a great vibe about the place. We'll be back! Thanks.

Absolutely gorgeous home, both inside and out. Comfortable beds, and had everything we would need. Very responsive to questions, and was able to accommodate a late checkout and early check in. Would definitely stay again to enjoy the beautiful Gabriola island.

Had a great stay here with my two kids and our dog. Stayed for two weeks and would definitely recommend for long stays. The place has everything you need and close to shops to get anything else you might be looking for. Grocery delivery availabe, Uber eats too in case you don’t feel like cooking and plenty of local attractions to keep you busy!

Sandra was delightful, friendly, and very personable. She had great recommendations for local spots based on our itinerary for the day, and gave us lots of local tips. Her place felt safe, and she had lots of thoughtful touches like snacks, drinks, books, and good shampoos and soaps! I would stay there again :)

It was a very pleasant stay. Woke up to dear roaming around, super cool. Michelle is very responsive and the home is super cozy!

The attention to detail made this interior space feel welcoming and inviting from the moment I arrived. I can't think of a thing that could have made it nicer. The views were everchanging with a variety of weather patterns during my stay. The ocean and sky were so interesting, even dramatic at times. From the windows I saw eagles, seals and the herring season that came and went, turning the water a tropical blue. So funny to see, when we know the ocean is freezing this time of year. Fishing boats were there a few days, taking their catch. Then walking in the neighbourhood, even the occasional deer to surprise you. So many paths to the beach to walk along the rocky shore when the tide is out. Daytrips are easy to go to everything, from this location. Just a short drive to the main highway and you can see so many interesting things available on central Vancouver Island. I imagine in the summer it would be even lovelier. The hosts were so friendly and helpful.

The surrounding were beautiful and very peaceful. We went for lots of walks and always had wildlife to enjoy. The birds were always singing and the owl was very active. The dogs were a wonderful greeting party. We would highly rate this as a place to stay especially if you want to get away from it all. Our host was very friendly and helpful. Felt right at home. We will stay here again.

Really nice responsive host. Very clean & modern room with a nice view. This was my second time stay at the property and I absolutely love it and will definitely be visiting again soon. The pools and other amenities are very clean and easy to find. The staff on property are very kind and helpful as well.

Even better than the pictures. Amazing view, thoughtfully appointed, and comfortable king sized bed! The property has wonderful amenities including a restaurant, gym, and spa - but it has a small intimate feel. We just wish we could have stayed longer. Hope to come back to this beautiful spot!

Home away from Home, is how I would describe this. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were not only welcomed there but that we could feasibly own this place. We stayed a total of 5 nights, and were began to feel sad after the 4th night, knowing we would have to leave. Being literal steps from the ocean made for beautiful sunsets and serene mornings. The area is fairly well protected from winds as we were facing a North-West direction. The indoor pool, hot tub, gym and games room are all within a quick 3-minute walk. The indoor pool is very large with a large shallow area for the kiddo's. Indoor pool has a Dry Sauna as well. The hosts, Kimberly and John, are very communicative. There is a provided binder with local amenities and Places of Interest. We took their suggestions and had a wonderful time getting to know the area! All-in-all, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We have officially decided that we will be making Vancouver Island our yearly destination.

John’s place was fantastic. Easy check-in and quick to answer any questions. My wife and I really appreciated the size of the condo and all the amenities. The fireplaces, jetted tub, comfortable king bed, well equipped kitchen and beautiful patio. We took advantage of the on-site amenities including the gym, pool, outdoor hot tub, trails and restaurant. Our stay was awesome and John made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this gem of a condo in beautiful Nanoose Bay.

spent two nights here - douglas place was very serene. quiet and peaceful. the beach is about 40 mins walk through the forest. make sure you book the hot tub was well worth it :) douglas and kate are stellar hosts - super responsive friendly but also knows to give you space to relax. great spirits thank you - we will be back for that future sauna ;)

If I could give this place and the host 10 stars I would! Even before check in, it was a positive experience. The property and view alone is worth the price. The beds were comfortable, the host goes above and beyond making sure you have everything you need and if you need any help at all she is there. A very friendly, positive, at home feeling. My mom and I were extremely comfortable staying for our weekend trip away. The wildlife was amazing to see! We loved sitting around the fire next to the ocean. I couldn’t believe how clean the place was, stocked with fresh linens and toilet paper if needed. The heated towel rack was a neat detail. You can tell this place has had a lot of love and care put into it. Tons of places to charge whatever you may need, wood stove was wonderful in the unit. We had all the amenities and utilities needed in order to cook great meals! Even stocked nicely with spices, oils, foil, etc. This is my new fav spot and we will be back many times. Thank you so much!

Laurel's place was heavenly ! The place was very easy to find and it was everything we were hoping for!! Fenced property for our pup was great, clear instructions for everything around the house, very warm and welcoming :) Falls are walking distance, town with nice restaurants is also 5-10 min drive away. Sauna was the highlight of our stay there :) Very cozy and heartwarming place. The hosts were very proactive in answering questions for us and super nice !! Would love to go back and stay a while longer next time.

We really enjoyed Julie's place. The location was a few minutes out of town and extremely quiet. The access to trails for the dogs were fabulous. The space was perfect. The beds were so comfortable and Julie has thought of everything. Thank you for a great stay. We will be back!

Amazing gem in Halfmoon Bay! We loved our weekend stay at Keitha’s cabin. Quiet and private with tons of nature right at your doorstep. The garden/firepit area is a great place to unwind after a day of hiking. We would absolutely stay here again!

What a lovely stay! The accomodations were very clean and well appointed, and I loved all the windows! The farm animals were delightful, the goats would greet me every time I went outside (waiting for carrots of course!). Lots of sun for most of the day, it was so nice to sit outside on the deck in the sunshine watching the animals. And the hottub was very relaxing and private. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Lori and Cheryl Ann were so welcoming and we were immediately made to feel at home. They were fantastic hosts and were very mindful of giving us our privacy, but we're available if we needed them. The property is absolutely lovely. It is in a beautiful, peaceful and private setting. The property inside was warm, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It has good cooking facilities if you want to cook meals. We also had use of a nice gym belonging to Lori and Cheryl Ann, which we made use of on a number of occasions. We would highly recommend this property.

My family and I had a great stay at Rhys's place. It was comfortable, quiet and cozy. The view and surroundings were beautiful. Would definitely stay there again.
