Walk across the street to historic Sylvan Beach Park, visit the Sylvan Beach Museum, have a picnic, visit the bait shop, fish off the pier, watch the skateboarders at the skate park, use the public boat launch if you brought a boat, play at the beach, play volleyball, or simply watch the kids at the playground.

There is a pay for fishing pier. A sandy beach with water access is a nice place to cool off on a hot day. Since it is on the bay, the waves are typically gentler than the gulf. The kids will love the play structures. If you have a skateboarder, they may want to check out the skate park. The gazebos offer great views of the bay. There are also covered picnic benches and a boat launch.
