If you are already in Uxmal for the Mayan ruins, take some extra time to visit the cacao museum. It's right across the entrance to the archaeological site. You learn all about the history and importance of the cacao bean and how it's transformed into chocolate. You will also be able to taste all the delicious chocolates.
