Best place in Amsterdam to rent a boat. They are electric, so completely silent and very easy to operate, no license or experience necessary. My number one recommendation on a sunny day.

Amsterdam is beautiful from the water. You can get on one of the organized boat tours that leave from close to Central Station. Another option would be to rent your own boat. This is especially nice in summer. We have good experiences with this company. Another company we have used is mokumboat.
