The perfect place to relax if you’ve been walking all day. Vendors sell ice cream, snacks and hot drinks. There is also a children’s play park, and you get an excellent view of the castle. If you’re here at Christmas, the garden turns into a German style winter fair, full of stalls selling food, mulled wine, toys, and rides.

All iconic Edinburgh Castle photos are from the Princes Street Gardens. The Ross Bandstand is in the centre and during the Festival has live music. There is a children's play park to the far right hand side.

Lots to explore - and paths up to the Old Town. Ross Fountain recently been restored. Reasonable park for young kids at the far west end.
