Start this trip from the ruins of the old town right next to Maškovića han. The trails in the ruin are not the best maintained so don’t linger too long. Although ruined, it is impressive and surprisingly large. Further on the road towards the hill you will enter a cave with a water source. According to the legend, there was an ancient oracle next to the spring, and the Romans dedicated it to water nymphs, and they conducted the water from Pećina, Biba and Subiba with an impressive viaduct all the way to Zadar, the ancient Jadera. Then just follow the signs and you will find yourself on Bak, which offers a beautiful view of the valley of Lake Vrana, Pakostane and the sea. Wear tight shoes for this halfday trip!
