One of our favorite quick jaunts! It's a weird space to find but breathtaking once you get there and dogs will love it!

Beautiful stream, lace red rock, and a variety of animal life make this a wonderful place to just take a walk. At the end of a trail you can see ancient Indian writings. This is a gorgeous side trip.

Beautiful area close to our Casita for a early morning hike (at least during the summer). a very fun rope climb around a waterfall (low water level in summer). Trail starts from the campground. There are also many other areas to hike. We've only tried that one.

A local gem. It’s the closest place to climb on sandstone!

This is a family favorite! Beautiful and fun short hike for the kids. There is more water and animal life in the spring or begining of summer but by July it is very hot and dry. Winter hikes are always pleasant if the sun is out.
