This is the manor house of the namesake family for our neighborhood, moved just a few blocks from its original location. They offer little demonstrations and period appropriate activities (like butter churning) for kids.

Built by a family of Dutch settlers, this small abode now functions as an educational center. Though many of its activities are kid-focused, you can take a tour of the space on weekends to see how Brooklynites lived in the 19th century.

A beautiful old house full of Brooklyn history. It is a quick trip to fit into your day. Very kid friendly! It is also right next to a Carousel and the Prospect Park Zoo.
