This beach is quieter than many others on Skye and the views across to the Cuilins and Isle of Rhum are gorgeous on the walk down. The black sandy beach was formed from basalt, the same volcanic rock as the Cuillins and it makes the water slightly warmer as it absorbs heat. One of our favourite spots on the island on a sunny day and a great spot for a swim or paddle board!

Large, quiet beach with stunning views. Both Sea and Golden Eagles can be regularly seen. Dolphins and Whales occasionally visit!
