Walk the boardwalk and stroll down the pier to catch breathtaking views and beach vibes. I recommend renting bikes next to the corndog stand and taking it down to Balboa pier and back Tons of great restaurants and nightlife

There are two piers on the Balboa Peninsula: Newport and Balboa. All are family friendly, though I recommend getting there early to snag an easy parking spot. There are a ton of restaurants near both piers, but I like the Newport Pier because of the gentle grade of sand for young children and the variety of walkable restaurants. I personally love Rockin’ Baja Lobster.

My great grandfather and his brothers built this pier. It used to much longer and berthed lumber schooners that brought lumber from the north to build Orange County.
