Downtown Pensacola established “Gallery Night” one Friday a month where streets shut down starting at 5 PM. Galleries and boutiques alike open their doors and allow free entry to show off all their colors, crafts, and flare. Meanwhile, restaurants and bars have live music, extend hours, and provide food and drink specials just right for the occasion! And while the festivities technically wrap up at 9 PM, the downtown party goes all night long! If you are only going to hit the town one night a month, this is it! Usually first Friday of the month but check their Facebook!

It occurs each third Friday of the month. Earlier in the evening it's very family oriented. Later it's a more adult crowd. Variety of musical acts will be found each week. Other events include marital arts displays, old car shows, gymnastics, bridal shows, acrobatics, cos play, face painting, graffiti wall, comedy acts, and plays. There are also street games like giant Jenga. Various art dealers and artists have booths selling their wears. Food trucks offering a variety of tasty treats. Even politicians explaining their positions. Be sure to visit the Pensacola Art Museum and the various art galleries. You never know when you will find that must have piece of art or the perfect gift.
