Food Scene, grocery store, and sightseeing all rolled into one: the Dane County Farmers Market is the largest farmers market in the Midwest. On the Capitol Square in Madison from mid-April until mid-November, food offerings include locally grown vegetables and fruit, cheese, organic meat, and locally made bakery and pastry items, to name just a few items that are available every Saturday from Spring through late Fall.

There’s no where else you need to be on a Saturday morning. This is the largest outdoor providers only farmers market in the country. A stop at Stella’s Bakery for a loaf of spicy cheesy bread is a must!

Award winning farmer's market on the Capitol Square. Try Stella's spicy cheesey bread - $12 a loaf, but delicious!

If you're here on a summer/fall Saturday you can't miss Madison's farmer's market. Wrapping around all four sides of the Capitol, I'd challenge you to find a bigger market!! Buy some fresh baked goods or spicy cheese bread and plop down on the Capitol lawn, enjoying the Oak tree shade.
