Surprisingly, the art scene in Houston is pretty good. In the museum district - you have The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston Museum of Natural Science, Children's Museum of Houston, The Health Museum, Houston Museum-African American Culture, Cullen Sculpture Garden, Contemporary Arts Museum, The Jung Center, Czech Center Museum Houston, Asia Society Texas Center, and Lawndale Art Center. Not far from the district are the Menil Collection, Rothko Chapel, Buffalo Soldiers Museum, and Station Museum of Contemporary Art. That's a lot of museums for a city like Houston! At one of of the Museum District is the beautiful Hermann Park, with its golf course, and the Houston Zoo. There are also many historic churches in this area.
