Cades Cove is a must-see in the Smoky Mountain National Park (45 minutes away). You'll drive on a loop that visits colonial cabins, churches, and even a sawmill. Beautiful outdoor scenery and wildlife including bears will punctuate your visit; and, it's free.

Great to drive through and see the views. Some hiking trails available and old cabins to see. Don’t feed the wildlife!

Cades Cove is the most visited area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park–and for good reason. The natural beauty & history are spectacular! Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains is the most visited area of the national park–and for good reason. The natural beauty of Cades Cove is just a glimpse of everything the national park has to offer the Smokies visitor. Interesting Tennessee cabins, grist mills and other pioneer structures dot this cove and tell the history of its early inhabitants. Wildlife is abundant. More than a dozen hiking and horseback riding trails originate in Cades Cove. The Smoky Mountains, which tower all around Cades Cove, are absolutely stunning! Cades Cove is home to trout streams for the fly-fishing enthusiast and campgrounds are available for those who want to experience Cades Cove around the clock

Cades Cove is a peaceful, beautiful place everyone should experience. A place to see history and beauty, in old preserved cabins, barns, churches, and other structures from the past, and a way of life that was long ago. A place to see wildlife, stop and walk in a pasture, along one of the many trails, explore old structures, play in the creeks, go horseback riding, ride a bike, and so much more. The picnic area is an awesome beautiful place for a picnic or cookout, right by the river. The campground store is also an awesome experience, and they sell food to go, as well as drinks, snacks, souvenirs and gifts. These are both right before the entrance to the loop. The Primitive Baptist church, Abrams Falls trailhead, and the visitor center, and gift shop, located midway of the loop, are three things located off the main rd that you should take the quick turn down the rd to see.
