Great spot for a kyak or a paddle board. Dogs are permitted off-lead on the beach at Ventnor between Ventnor Beach Road and Graydens Road at all times. Stop into the Ventnor General Store for a cuppa and a snack on your way back to Surf Beach. Great coffee and lots of outdoor seating. You can even pick up a few supplies for dinner while you are there. The Organic Butcher next store is great. He makes the most amazing truffle sausages (when you can get them). Dogs are permitted off-lead on the beach at Cowes between McKenzie Road and Cowes Yacht Club at all times between 1st May and 30th November and from 7am to 10am and 5pm to 8pm from 1st December to 30th April. At Surf Beach you are allowed to bring your dogs onto the beach on lead before 10 am and after 5 pm. During the quieter months the rules are a bit more relaxed. I even saw a lamb on the beach one day. Check out the photo!

Ventnor Beach is one of a few dog walking beaches on the Island. Please always check the times on the signs that dogs can be on the beach. It is a child friendly safe beach and the kids love it!

Another great beach for families with small children, parking and playground as well.
