A very special museum displaying native artifacts and a traditional pit house on an excavated site. You’ll find Magnolia’s taco bus there in the parking lot for a quick bite or packed lunch, a park with swings, grass and shade!
This land was donated to the state by my wife’s Grandfather, that is why it is called the Coomb’s site. His house, which is still there, is just down the hill from the park. He knew that this hill was sacred for some reason and would never let his children play on it. His daughter, who is my mother-in-law still lives in his house today and a granddaughter works there as well. It is about 114 miles along the scenic hyway Route 12. Drive time is about 2 hrs 15 minutes.

If you are into museums, history or archaeology make sure you stop by for a few hours and see the ancient ruins in our very own little town. Great way to spend an afternoon.
