Modern Burmese dining experience. This restaurant is close to the V&A museum of childhood and bus ride from Victoria Park.
My favorite restaurant in London since Burma is where I'm from. The closest one is in Shoreditch but they just opened one in the West End as well. It's the most unique food and absolutely something you will crave again. Awesome cocktails as well! Reservations encouraged.
If you have never tried Burmese food- you must! And this place has the best. Make a reservation and get a taste of Burma and some very unique Asian inspired cocktails.
Modern Burmese food. Classics are well-executed at Lahpet — its mohinga, Burma’s national dish of fish broth and rice vermicelli heaped with crispy split-pea fritters, roast chilli and coriander, is a treat, as is the signature dish of lahpet thohk which turns umami-packed tea leaves into a unique textural salad. The pone yay gyi salad is another must-order, made using a home-fermented black bean paste that could be deemed Burmese miso.
