Just a short walk out of Stroud's centre you will find a beautiful oasis! Stratford Park hosts 56 acres of park land including a lake, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, leisure centre and woodland walks. The museum in the grounds is well worth a look around, its free and has a host of “days gone by” exhibits. There is free parking if needed.

This has to be the worst photo I've seen - looks like a tube station on the North Circular! Or worse. Anyway, its a decent size leisure centre, with an inside and outdoor pool (summer), a large hall for badminton and other sports, squash courts, a gym and a cafe. Actually set in nice grounds with a play area and woods to the rear.

Leisure centre with beautiful surrounding park lane. Bring a picnic. Toddler park, play park, indoor and outdoor pool, lake and walking routes, tennis courts, skate park suitable for toddlers and big kids.
