We purposely tucked our adorable Tiny Home into the woods to achieve the peaceful retreat you're looking for. You'll feel like the "Little Red Riding Hood" skipping through the woods as you escape the "Big Bad Wolf" of technology and stress. Evenings around the Firepit w/the stars are simply magical!

Running Squirrel Ridge

This private home is situated on 20 acres and borders National Forest property. This 400 sq. ft. cottage comforts include a hot tub, brazilian tiled bathroom and central HVAC system. A tankless water heater and full-sized laundry room and pillow topped mattress provide comforts. With WiFi and streaming services, Running Squirrel Ridge is a great place to semi-disconnect from the world and reconnect with family and nature. Relax on the 1200 sq. ft. deck or hike the abundant on property trails.

Mateo 39D at Nantahala Weddings & Events - no pets

The Mateos (named after our architect’s little son) are 4 small and separate bungalows with eye-popping views of Lake Nantahala and the Smoky Mountains through an 8-foot sliding glass door. Each Mateo has a queen size bed, private bath, ac/heat, and a kitchenette with a Keurig coffeemaker, 4.4 cu. ft. refrigerator with freezer, air fryer, microwave, tableware, and glassware for two people. The Mateos are not handicap-accessible. Pets are never allowed – 39D is a pet-free space ($200 penalty).
