We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was top notch. We can highly recommend her place!

Aptly named “The View,” this is a delightful place with spectacular panoramic view overlooking Tromso city center, across the water, including the Arctic Cathedral, and up onto Tromsdalen. I could have sat staring out the windows for hours. We walked (two of us ran) the surrounding snow palace. We enjoyed trolls, the top of Tromsdalen, nearby islands, local cuisine, and exploring the city center and trails. Through it all, our hosts were wonderful - patiently and expertly helping with all manner of questions. A terrific, memorable travel experience. Will definitely seek out The View again when our travels bring us back to Tromso.

Esse Airbnb foi perfeito para a minha curta viagem a Tromsø! Bem-localizado, muito limpo e bem cuidado, com uma vista linda para a cidade! A comunicaçao com a Ane Marie ocorreu sem problemas desde o início. Segui algumas recomendacoes de atividades que ela enviou e nao me arrependi! Tor, o marido dela, também foi uma pessoa muito agradável. Ambos possibilitaram um check-in flexível e descomplicado. Muito obrigada pela hospitalidade! :)

Wir waren zu zweit für eine Nacht in der gemütlich eingerichteten Unterkunft von Olivier. Er und alle Angestellten waren sehr freundlich und immer gut erreichbar. Dass wir nach Absprache bereits früher in die Unterkunft konnten war hervorragend und das optionale Frühstück für 80 NOK ist gut. In der Küche ist etwas Geschirr vorhanden und Mikrowelle, sowie Wasserkocher nutzbar. Danke an Olivier und das Team für diesen schönen Aufenthalt!

Tämä oli loistava tukikohta viikonlopun hiihtoretkille. Majoituspaikka vastasi hyvin kuvausta ja oli erittäin siisti. Vieraille löytyi myös erikseen jääkaappi omia eväitä varten. Majoittajat olivat mukavia, antoivat reittivinkkejä ja kunnon aamupalalla päivät lähtivät hyvin käyntiin!

I highly recommend this Airbnb! The location is great (only a few mins to the centre), the house is comfy and very clean, the breakfast is home made and delicious but most importantly Lynne and Rolf are warm hearted people who truly care about their guests. They did everything to make me feel welcomed and make my stay as enjoyable as possible. The Airbnb also has a separate area (can be closed with a curtain if needed) with own kitchen.

Wij kijken terug op een heerlijk verblijf bij Gjertrud op Sommaroy. De locatie heeft een prachtig uitzicht en is rustig gelegen direct aan een strandje. Auto konden we makkelijk parkeren en in de buurt ook elektrisch opladen. We hebben gebruik gemaakt van de sauna in het nabijgelegen hotel, dat is wel echt alleen een sauna en verder geen faciliteiten. Het ontbijt was lekker met Noorse producten en door Gjertrud zelfgebakken brood. We hebben ook een keer gebruik gemaakt van de dinerservice van Gjertrud, ze kan goed koken. De bedden waren wat smal, dat was even wennen, maar lagen heerlijk en we hebben goed geslapen. De temperatuur op de kamer konden we zelf regelen met elektrische kachel, dat ging prima. Toen wij er verbleven waren niet alle kamers bezet, als dat wel zo is lijkt 1 badkamer waar ook de wc in is mij wel lastig.

Erittäin lämminhenkinen vastaanotto ja siistit huoneet. Kauniilla paikalla merenrannalla. Lyhyt ajomatka ylängön tunturijärville. Kaikin puolin sopiva paikka tällaiselle kalastajapariskunnalle <3. Ainoa puute oli, ettei käyttöömme annetussa keittiössä ollut kattilaa eikä paistinpannua. Onneksi oli Trangia matkassa.

I really enjoyed Elins home, I stayed in two rooms (the single and the triple) both were lovely although I slightly preferred the triple, only because it was the only room and on the ground floor. The location is excellent, you literally get off the svipper bus and into Elins. It's about a 15 minute walk into the start of town / where the local market is. And about 25 minutes to the Maritim hotel where I did the orca tours. Elins home is warm and homey, with lots of cute knick knacks (and a cute cat) and Elin was super patient answering my 50+ questions about travel info (which can be a bit confusing as all the days are different, sometimes the ferry doesn't run etc (download the svipper app to get info and buy tickets). Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Gjertrud. La vue du salon est à couper le souffle et la boutique en face de la maison est très mignonne. Attention si vous avez apporté à manger, la cuisine n’est pas accessible. Merci pour ce séjour !

Bien situé. Prix raisonnable pour le secteur. Bon accueil. Nous étions seuls dans le logement et nous avons passé un agréable séjour.

My stay at Elin’s house was very good. Even though the Northern Troms region showed me its windy side and both, ferry and Hurtigrutten were cancelled two days in a row, Elin was always there—responding quickly and helping me with ferry and bus schedules. When I finally arrived in Skjervøy, I felt right at home. Traveling solo, it was really heartwarming that she spent time with me and engaged in friendly chats, giving me a glimpse of the real Troms. She even made waffles and treated me to her mother’s delicious fish cakes. Although the nordic weather wasn’t at all kind, Elin and Henry the cat certainly were. Thank you so much for everything—I wish you all the best!
