"Kaze no Niwa"/retreat/Japanese traditional house

This is a traditional Japanese house built in the countryside of Iga, the home of the ninja. Although you can come by public transportation, it is more convenient to come by car as it is quite a rural area. The hot spring is 5 minutes by car. It takes 20 minutes by car to the castle town of Iga Ueno. 25 minutes to Mokumoku Farm. 30 minutes to Igayaki no Sato. 45 minutes to Suzuka Circuit. 50 minutes to Akame Shijuhachi Falls National Park. 1 hour to Ise Jingu. 1 hour to Horyuji Temple.

To ensure you enjoy the stay to the fullest, I set check-in and check-out time to both 12:00 Noon. So you can stay up for 24 hours with one night booking. YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.

Located in the heart of Kyoto, we are just a 7-minute walk from the Imperial Palace and Imadegawa Station (K06), with Kyoto Station only 10 minutes away by subway. We offer four bicycles free of charge for you to explore the charming backstreets that buses cannot reach. Additionally, for long stay guests , we provide a complimentary shuttle service to or from Kyoto Station upon request.

Terrace bathroom and bamboo tree in house. This house was build 50 years ago. We had created terrace bathroom and bamboo forest in the house. This is entire home maximum 6 persons can stay. There are two bed rooms on the second floor. One double bed (1-2 persons) + other Tatami room with double bed (1-2 persons). We have 2 extra single mattress bed each room. This is very good for two families or groups maximum for 6 persons. You can also use backyard BBQ garden patio.

The surroundings are full of nature, and if you are lucky, you can see animals such as wild deer, boars and squirrels. In addition to burning charcoal in the fireplace and enjoying the burning fire, you can enjoy the following as fireplace dishes. (We prepare 1 box of charcoal. Just 6 minutes by walk from subway Imadegawa station. You can walk to imperial palace in 10 minutes. You can stay like you live in Kyoto. We have wooden bath with small garden view. There are wooden deck besides living space, you will have relaxing time at the wooden deck with garden view. Electric bikes are rent for free.
