The perfect relaxing cabin. A short drive from gorgeous wineries and a quick walk to a beautiful hiking trail where we found over 12 mushroom species. Highly recommend this host!

Beautiful place! Second time I’ve stayed and they are always super friendly! They make sure you aren’t having any issues especially if there is any change in the weather.

We love hiking so we visited the Garden of the Gods, the Little Grand Canyon and the Giant City Nature Trail. This cabin is in a great location for visiting the Shawnee National Forest and perfect place to unwind after a day of hiking. The grill for making dinner was so clean, as well as the hot tub for relaxing. Also a fire pit out back. The kitchen had everything you could need. Shampoo and conditioner were also provided. This is by far the best Airbnb I have visited, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We had a great time :)

The little cabin was absolutely perfect for some much needed down time. It had everything I needed and wanted. Christi was helpful with making hiking recommendations as well.

Traveled with my husband, teenage daughter and our puppy. Pet friendly! Super clean and fresh! Hot tub was an attractive amenity. Host is very responsive and the site is just off of major roads so it is easy to find, yet also quiet. Very central to all the must see sites near Shawnee National Forest. Lots of amenities packed into a small space. Great for a long weekend stay!

I loved it, it was so peaceful! Lots of places to hike. Very cozy and clean.

Another great stay on the property. We love the location and proximity to everything. Also, the property is accomodating for our fishing boat. Tom-tom (the cat) was a fantastic little amenity at the cabin. He greeted us upon our return and joined us for our morning coffee. Give him all the love!

This cabin/lodge was a very unexpected find in a more rural area of southeast Missouri! Ideal location for us to drive to local small towns in surrounding area or head to the city. The cabin had beautiful outdoor scenery and the inside had a charming rustic vibe. We very much enjoyed our visit and found the place to be very clean and welcoming. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful place to enjoy the calmness and wildlife of the mountains!

This is a perfect little cottage near the lake. It had everything we needed, including nice outdoor patio spaces for eating and a big firepit. You can't see much of the lake from the cottage, but it's easy to get to - across a quiet road and down a very long flight of stairs. There's a nice big dock for fishing, swimming, star gazing at night, boating, and just relaxing and enjoying the view (it's a particularly scenic section of the lake because there is no development on the other side of the water - just forest!). We loved having access to kayaks and enjoyed fishing off the dock. Would love to return in summer when we can swim and do even more water activities!

Quaint little cabin in a very quiet area, but close to Carbondale IL. Place was very clean, easy to find and exactly as described. Great place for price! Would definitely stay again.

Mercedes went above and beyond for us! Our stay was a short last minute trip and her quick response time was impressive! Very friendly and compassionate to help us get settled in quickly, so we could attend to what we came for. The place was very clean and the peaceful surroundings were the perfect atmosphere for us. I absolutely loved staying in the Wildflower Cabin and will be back! This place was beautifully decorated, down to the smallest detail. The location felt magical and I can’t wait to revisit! Perfect girls trip, getaway with loves of hiking - and of course, a trip to the local winery.

Rosene and Gerald’s place is absolutely one of the coziest and most comfortable cabins we have ever enjoyed. The decor is so welcoming and beautiful and the many special touches were a wonderful surprise. Rosene is a fabulous host. Communication was excellent and it is so obvious that she has a sincere desire for guests to feel welcome and enjoy their stay. We had a great time hiking Snake Road and biking the Tunnel Hill Trail. We only wish we had more time for hiking in the Shawnee National Forest and exploring local state parks. Thank you so much for having us! We hope to return!

We were surprised by the amenities and care that Mary took to get the place ready for our stay. She had all the essentials in case you missed packing something and more. She was very responsive when we asked for dinner recommendations. The cabin is right at the entrance to Godwin trail and 1.5 miles from the cross. It is walking distance to the cross as well.

Had an amazing stay! Was a really relaxing and peaceful time. And so great to be able to go in the hot tub after hiking in the area. Would go back again!

Adams Rock cabin was a great home base for our Shawnee trip! The place looks exactly as pictured/described. We appreciated the Native American decor as well as informative books in the cabin. The location is not super remote, but the large yard was perfect for our kids and dog to play and just enjoy being outside. We particularly enjoyed roasting marshmallows around the fire pit! For others traveling with kids, it is worth knowing that the loft bedroom is up a steep ladder without any particularly good way to block the ladder at the bottom or top. The kitchen was equipped with necessities but not a lot of extras. If you’re planning to pack picnic lunches for your hikes, make sure to bring storage containers! Overall, we had a wonderful stay, appreciated all of Mary’s helpful communication, and really enjoyed exploring a new-to-us part of the country!

Best Airbnb we have stayed in as family! Very clean and organized and had everything we needed. The layout of the house was perfect for a mom! My husband and I stayed in the master and the master bath was big enough for a pack n play for our youngest. The 2nd bedroom is right across the hall where our older two slept and everything was open and could be together for meals. The home was bright and well decorated, but not full of stuff and very kid friendly! The property was beautiful with privacy and enjoyed coffee on the deck! About 25 min from family friendly hikes at Giant city State park, and about an hour from Garden of the Gods and East hikes. Would highly recommend!
