The cabin was really nice with comfortable accommodations and everything you need. There is a road that runs in front of and behind the cabin that has quite a bit of traffic on the weekend as the road is an entrance to a park/campground and it was a holiday weekend. This was a benefit to us though as we love to hike and could walk to or drive within a couple of minutes to several really great trails! Having the heated in ground pool for my daughter was amazing and when we had some issues with Bees the owners handled it right away. This is definitely a cabin in the woods by the water so come prepared with bug repellant. We did venture out to some local wineries and a lavender farm/winery but would have been just as content to enjoy the cabin and the property! Overall we really enjoyed this place and would totally go back when we are visiting the Harrisonburg area.

Corey’s place is the perfect quiet and private getaway. We had a fantastic vacation here-the house was spotless, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to relax. Our pets absolutely loved exploring the spacious yard and lounging by the fire pits. Corey was incredibly friendly and super responsive, always quick to answer any questions and make sure we had everything we needed. We truly felt at home, and it was such a treat to find a spot that’s both pet-friendly and so well cared for. We’ll definitely be back the next time we visit Shenandoah National Park!

Just got home from our little get away. The cabin was wonderful! Had everything we wanted. The view waking up to from the bedroom window was breathtaking. The kitchen had everything you could need and the view from that huge picture window was beautiful! We enjoyed the large hot tub and made good use of the pool table. The weather wasn't the best and got a little chilly but the fireplace helped with that. This weekend was exactly what we needed....Beauty, relaxation and peace! Thanks Mark!

Timber Creek Falls is a beautiful place! Views of the surrounding mountains, a private waterfall…what more could you ask for?! The place is beautifully kept & well appointed. The screened in porch is like a little sanctuary where you can relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the waterfall and surrounding natural beauty. We could even hear the waterfall while lying in bed at night - so peaceful and relaxing here. The driveway was a little rocky - but our SUV handled it well. We are grateful to have found and to have been welcomed to enjoy this beautiful place!

This was an awesome stay! The one thing I’d note is to be aware that when you book it’s in a wooded area. We had a run in with a harmless snake that got in the house, but were able to take care of it pretty quickly. There were also some hornets that got in the house. Just be aware that you’re in nature. This location was fantastic, plenty of room and things to do. Very peaceful. The host had clear directions on how to make this stay as smooth as possible, and was very communicative ! The Chickencoop is amazing! Super clean, pup friendly and everything was as advertised. Brenda thought of every little detail, including a food and water bowl waiting for the dogs. We will definitely recommend this stay to anyone in the Abingdon or Damascus area.

If you want a rustic log cabin, this is as good as it gets. The place was awesome. Fireplaces were great. Great beds. Comfortable couches. If you’re looking for seclusion, this probably isn’t the space, but we knew that going into the stay!

I left feeling like a lighter, more refreshed version of myself. My little Pomeranian diva, Cartier, absolutely loved it too — she strutted around like she owned the place and found all the best sunny spots to lounge in! The views were stunning and I especially loved catching the morning sun on the front porch with a cup of tea— such a beautiful, grounding way to start the day. The hot tub was the perfect way to wind down and take it all in. As someone who’s a bit Type A, I deeply appreciated the clear instructions, labeled light switches and intuitive layout — it made settling in feel effortless. Every detail — from the well-organized cabinets to the thoughtful amenities — made the experience stress-free and cozy. I’ve already shared the listing with friends and family. That’s how special this place is. We’ll absolutely be back!

Very quiet and peaceful location with farm/country scenery all around. Cabin was cozy and comfortable ... ideal for a couple. The host was very responsive and also informative about nearby points of interest. We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed a couple days in the mountain cabin. Cabin was comfortable with everything you would need. It has breathtaking views and was very peaceful. We spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the fields and mountains. It is very close to Grayson Highlands for hiking and searching for waterfalls. Made a donation to their non profit to have a tour of the farm of rescued animals. Thank you Connie. You can see their passion and love for the animals and what they are doing. For a wonderful stay near the park and in addition your stay can help support their mission, this is an excellent opportunity for a beautiful vacation.

We recently stayed at this charming home nestled in the woods, and it was an unforgettable experience! The property features a serene pond and a delightful rowboat. The farm is home to goats, chickens, ducks, and the most incredible dog, Buddy, who quickly became our favorite part of the stay. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from arrival. The farm itself is lovely, with many trails and hidden nooks to explore. The area is incredibly peaceful, except for the rooster who likes to greet the morning with his crowing – a charming touch that added to the rustic feel. The home is indeed small, and we were at max capacity with two adults and a child. It was good that we left our dogs at home, as there wouldn't have been enough space for them. The house's interior is beautifully decorated, comfortable, yet simple, providing everything we needed for a cozy stay. Overall, this home is a perfect getaway to unwind & enjoy nature.

Easy to rent and get to. Everything on the first floor was wheelchair accessible for my wife. My dachshund even enjoyed the access too. Very relaxing sitting on the two porches watching the many deer. Everything was enjoyable and relaxing. Very professional workers when they contacted me to check the hot tub several times.

Great spot! Hope very much to return. Pros: very nicely appointed cabin. Not luxury but pretty close! Has all the things you need to make an enjoyable stay. Incredibly good access to hiking, both on foot straight from cabin and by taking a short drive. We really enjoyed the bonfire pit and the supply of firewood. We went in the winter and it was nice to get a bit of snow. Would probably be gorgeous bird watching and such in the summer. Really nice to be surrounded by nothing but trees. Felt like we had a whole mountain to ourselves. Cons: I am noise sensitive, and I did find the main cabin to be pretty close quarters. So if you’re like me or are seeking privacy or quiet amongst a loud group of folks, maybe something to think about. Also not the easiest kitchen to make a big meal (no dishwasher, small drying rack) but we definitely made it work for 5 people. Also to note — we had a couple 2WD cars that made it up the hill to the cabin, but we brought them back down hill for snow

Great place to stay for a romantic getaway. Me and my girlfriend stayed here for our anniversary and it was lovely. You will not be disappointed. Do note that sports cars will struggle with the driveway, lots of twists and turns with some steep grades but we made it in a ford fusion no problem.

Our family had the best time here! Loved the yurt! There is a creek across the street that the children played in, we fished in the pond, played baseball in the meadow, had a campfire under the stars. The beds were super comfortable, we enjoyed the privacy and the beauty of the area. We hope to go back and stay longer next time! Well appointed kitchen, super clean home, responsive host, beautiful views through the many windows, private stay yet close to activities. It’s a gem, for sure!

We really enjoyed this mountain getaway cabin! Loved the privacy and the beautiful surroundings. Cabin was comfortable and location was great next to a mountain stream and close to hiking trails. The lack of cell service/wifi only added to the appeal. Really helped to disconnect. Fun selection of DVDs, books and games. Awesome place to view the night sky. Hosts were very responsive and provided helpful instructions. We definitely would love to go back.

We want to thank Mark so much for being an incredible host—our stay couldn’t have been more perfect! It was the ideal getaway to celebrate my son’s upcoming birthday. The property was peaceful, beautiful, and packed with things to do. Mark truly goes above and beyond to upgrade the experience and make guests feel completely at home. Our first stay was on March 7th, and this second visit somehow managed to be even better. Mark takes feedback seriously and quickly makes thoughtful improvements based on suggestions. He also provided excellent recommendations for local places to visit, which made our trip even more special. He’s always friendly, responsive, and clearly dedicated to creating a five-star experience. We can’t wait to return and explore more of the amazing locations he hosts. By far the best Airbnb experience we’ve had—highly, highly recommend!

My first stay at The Cabin and definitely plan on returning! It was better than the pictures. Location is very special along with the perfectly decorated cabin. I love antiques and birds and felt like a warm hug the minute I drove onto the property and entered the cabin. So grateful to have had this experience. Thank You Anna.

We had a very relaxing and pleasant stay. Would recommend to anyone wanting to unplug and enjoy nature. Lot's to do at the site with walking trails, disc golf and a fire pit.
