Kailani Villa is in an absolutely gorgeous location on a secluded and large lot with abundant plants, fruit trees, and lots of space to wander. The ocean views are unforgettable and provide lots of opportunity for rainbow sightings in the afternoons when the moisture rolls in from the ocean. The home is spacious and allows for a nice balance of gathering and privacy. It's particularly convenient to have two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. The outdoors is the real star here and it is tempting to spend as much time as possible lounging on the lanai in the hopes of seeing whales break the surface. It's about a 20 minute drive to downtown Hilo which offers fantastic food and shopping. There are activities all around to enjoy.

The place was great. We had two families with two teenage kids each. There was plenty of room for all of us. The location was perfect. There were a few recreational items that we did not use, but we did use the giant cooler. Plenty of kitchen utensils to make whatever you want. I thought the listing said there was a washer, but no dryer, however, there was a dryer. If we have the same amount of people, I would stay here again for sure.

This house is absolutely GORGEOUS - the pictures don’t do it justice. Owners have supplied far more than any other stay has. There were spices, coolers with ice packs, sporting equipment, sun screen - all the little things you wouldn’t think of bringing but end up needing. We plan on staying here again!!!

Beautiful house and location. Enjoyed being right in the water. Woke up and do yoga n the lanai overlooking the sea and we also enjoyed the hot tub in the evening. Very well stocked kitchen. Suggest arriving at the place with groceries if you don’t plan to go out as closest store is 15-20 min. Nicely placed to enjoy day trip to Volcano and Hilo area and also southeast corner of island.

The home is on a beautiful and quiet area of Pahoa. It was comfortable and cozy and had all the amenities we needed, the outdoor deck and the star deck was our favorite part!! The only thing that was a little bothersome was the fact that we had to walk outside of the first floor and around to go up to the 2nd floor, as they are not connected. I think it’s a great house for a family or two that want some privacy but maybe not so much for a group of friends who constantly want be aroundeach other. Would stay here again, the peace was worth it!

(2) 사소한 아쉬운 점 - 아쉬움1 : 해풍의 영향 등으로 인해 창문의 개폐를 위한 조작 핸들이 부식되어 파손되어 있거나 고착된 경우가 있어서 일부 창문의 경우 열고 닫는데 어려움이 있었습니다. - 아쉬움2 : 모든 출입문마다 방충망이 설치되어 있었으나 체크인 할때 숙소내에서 모기를 여러마리 발견하였고, 체크아웃 할때까지 모기에게 여러번 물렸습니다. (3) 다른 투숙객을 위한 조언 - 조언1 : 힐로 시내 중심지에서 다소 거리가 있으므로(차량 편도 30분) 여행경로를 계획할때 유의할 필요가 있습니다. - 조언2 : 저녁에는 정원에서 곤충이 우는 소리가 다소 크게 들리므로 소리에 민감한 경우에는 귀마개(ex. 3M) 등을 준비할 필요가 있습니다. - 조언3 : 1층 바닥(석재)은 2층 바닥(목재)과는 달리 발바닥에 이물질이 많이 묻으므로 실내화를 준비할 필요가 있습니다. 끝.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The location was so peaceful, it felt like a true escape. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need. Maggie was an amazing host, she was extremely communicative and provided plenty of great recommendations for places to eat, which made our trip even better. Every little detail in the home made us feel so welcomed and comfortable.

Yvette is the on-island host, she made sure we had detailed directions and instructions to find the house as we were arriving late at night. We met her the next day and she was helpful that we needed little contact after. We loved the private pool and garden, picking fresh limes, cooking at home and relaxing. It was a perfect way to start our vacation on the Big Island. I would not hesitate to book again as quiet place to access the National Park and explore the newest geographic area of the island.

A wonderful place away from the busy city! Our family enjoyed this home and all it had to offer, the pool, soaking tub, beautiful plants, frog hunting :) and even the games left for the guests. We traveled into Hilo most of the days here but our host gave us wonderful local recommendations for nearby attractions and restaurants. It was a beautiful home tucked away in a beautiful botanical garden!
