Fish, canoe, swim, explore woods and lakes. Spend your time here or use as basecamp for backcountry trips. See deer, eagles, loons, moose, bear, or hear a wolf howl in the distance. LED lanterns, propane cookstoves and refrigeration, get water from lake, or nearby well. Life on the edge.

Black Bay Lodge

Private & beautiful home with Rainy Lake access across the bay from Voyageur's National Park! Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and plenty of space to gather indoors or out. Large deck and firepit area and dock access with a boat slip just down the street! Very close to Rainy Lake Visitor's Center and their public boat launch as well as local restaurants on the lake. This lovely cottage has woods, hiking trails, and perenial gardens right outside the door. There are ski trails a mile away and the Redhead Mountain Bike park 8 miles away. The 2 Bdrm, 2 Bath home is fully furnished and has been completely renovated. The kitchen has everything needed to dine at home. The deck provides a peaceful view of the woods; and the 3 season porch and loft den offer lovely places to relax and read. In the winter the wood stove provides a toasty ambiance.

Swim, fish, hike, mountain bike in the summer, hunt in the fall, cross county ski the Suomi hills in the winter and mushroom hunt and fish in the spring. A great place to get away from it all.

Wolf Cabin at Wilderness Wind

We are asking our guests to bring their own sheets and pillow cases. Thank you for your understanding. Wolf Cabin is Wilderness Wind's smallest and most secluded cabin on the shore of Lake Armstrong. This adorable one bedroom cabin with kitchenette and kitchen table is at the end of the road and is quiet and private but has access to all the amenities of the Wilderness Wind resort.
