Came to take our 8.5 year old dog to see mountains. The Garden Cottage was squeaky clean, comfy cozy, and fantastic. The flowers and plants were gorgeous; I felt like a hobbit in the shire (high compliment). We cooked every night and never were without. Excellent WiFi, quiet area. The rooms don’t have ceilings so you can hear the TV In the living room or room next to you but honestly, yall will all be tuckered out. It gave it a summer camp vibe and each room had its own fans that would drown out noise if you wanted it too (plus AC). We will certainly be back And sharing this gem with our friends.

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was very neat and the hot tub was a great bonus. Also, the whole area is private and cozy. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Claudia did a great job of staying in touch with us when needed.

My husband and I came here for our 7 year anniversary. It was lovely and peaceful. I love the imperfections of the old cottage and its cleanliness. The hot tub, kayaks, and views are lovely The kitchen was adequately stocked and beds were clean and comfy. Shower was large and hot and the washer and dryer were very helpful! The house was stocked with everything needed. We will definitely be back. The town of Mentone was just down the road and we loved the areas. There was even a gas station at the end of the street that was very convenient as well! No regrets! Just a lovely vibe and great getaway destination!

We stayed here for my daughter’s spring break and had a great weekend! The hot tub was great and we toasted s’mores in the fire pit in the back. We also went and visited DeSoto Park just a short drive away for a fun day of hiking and hit up Mentone Market for some pizza afterwards. Such a great place for a relaxing getaway!

I was surprised at how lovely this place was both the house and the surrounding beauty! I had 10 adults and 5 kids coming and going and the place accommodated us comfortably. The kitchen was phenomenal! I also took advantage of Blair's offer of the "petting" barn. Both she and her husband gave my grandkids forever memories as they introduced and let the kids pet the farm animals! I highly recommend this place - it is worth it!

The NEW Overlook was the absolute perfect retreat from my hectic life back home, and just what I needed. I could not have asked for a more perfect accommodation or more perfect location. The view is breathtaking from sunrise to sunset. I experienced some of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen in my life from the hot tub on the back deck. Incredible! Although there are cabins on either side of the house, it is still so private. I love that you’re far enough away from things to feel so removed, yet only a 10-minute drive to charming Mentone. One thing to note: if you need any special provisions (gluten-free etc), I would highly recommend bringing those with you, as Mentone has very little. Back to the house: the kitchen was very well-appointed and lacked nothing. I loved the living room fire place, as well as the fire pit outside (reminder: pack your own firewood). I actually loved my stay so much I extended and I cannot wait to return soon!

The home was absolutely wonderful. The views were stunning. We enjoyed watching the rain move in over the mountains. We were in Georgia for a baseball tournament, and found this perfect place. We learned to navigate the road to the house. It is curvy, but the views are breathtaking. We did a bit of hiking, and enjoyed the wildlife and nature. The home was well stocked with linens and basic kitchen supplies. Thank you for having us.

Charles and Ruthie are wonderful hosts who truly care about their guests. Charles is incredibly responsive and always quick to take care of any maintenance issues. He gets things done efficiently and without hassle. But it is Ruthie who brings the heart. She is the absolute embodiment of Southern hospitality. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, she makes you feel right at home. Her kindness is not just surface level. It is the kind that sticks with you long after your stay. We truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to other guests. If you are looking for a place that feels both comfortable and cared for, this is it.

Wow! David & Lilly’s cottage was exactly what my family needed. We spent 3 nights and enjoyed the comfort and privacy of this home. My son loved playing the ukelele and my daughter loved having the screened porch day-bed to read Harry Potter on. Our golden retriever loved getting in the creek and woods behind the home. We enjoyed cooking together snd were thankful for how well-stocked the kitchen was with anything you could think of. We enjoyed finding board games to play and books to look at. The host had a sweet welcome note for our family and treats for our dog. My family enjoyed visiting Desoto State Park and doing the ropes course/zip-line. Highly recommend this cottage!

We enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and cozy. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of towels and blankets. We loved that it was a pet friendly home. And THE VIEW!! The view was incredible. We were able to watch the sun set each evening from the deck.

Tina’s place was perfect for our family! The pictures do not do it justice. Everything was just as described but even better than we expected! We brought 4 dogs along with us. The fenced gates on the front and back porches along with the fenced yard were perfect for them to run around and play. Even though we have vacationed in Monteagle at least 10 times, we used her book of recommendations to try out different activities and places to visit. This vacation away from everything is just what our family needed. Not listed in the description was that the TVs can be used to log into your streaming services. This made our stay extra comfortable! We will definitely be back!

This was our second time staying at Starla's place. We should go ahead and book it for the same weekend if we knew the event was the same weekend. It is just what we needed and close to everything we had planned while in Chattanooga. Starla has been a marvelous host. She is quick to respond and helpful with all our needs. The house is just as described and in my opinion, much better than a hotel stay. Go check it out if you're going to be staying in the Chattanooga area.

Great place for my wife and I to spend a long weekend. Walkable to trails (and a coffee shop and restaurant/bar) in a nice neighborhood. Perfect amount of space and nice. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great time at Sunshine Cottage! Hank is a great host!

We chose this place because we love Mentone, DeSoto St Park, just the whole area and I was looking for enough room for 6 of us and our dog. Our doodle vacations with us and this house was perfect with a large front yard on a quiet street. It was a meet in the middle place for our group. We like to cook, play games, puzzle, hike while we are here and Misti's place had great spaces especially for games and puzzles and was so cozy with the propane heaters and fireplace. Our power went out during the night in a storm but we were able to stay until it was restored because of the light from all the windows and we were plenty warm with the fireplace. We made use of the generous gift for breakfast for 2 at Hatter's in Mentone. Reservations are recommended for the best experience and we really had a nice time. It is a wonderfully unique place and the food was great. I loved that this was not the cookie cutter cabin but a beautiful cottage with attention to detail. We would happily return.

It was very romantic and reminded me of the flintstones, the record player was super cute. The only thing I would say is that there is a house/airbnb right next to this one so it wasn’t the most private at times but other than that we loved the stay.

Great place to stay if you want a peaceful getaway or to visit the nearby national parks.

This was by far the best trip my wife and I have ever taken. We were able to totally disconnect and spend time with one another. April and Daniel really made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay the most comfortable it could be. We’re looking forward to returning in the near future!

Great weekend stay in this tiny house. Beautiful surroundings (woods without other dwellings in sight from porch). Owner was quick to respond and home was well put together for what it was. Would happily come back anytime of year.

This bnb was very lovely and perfect size for our family of 4 + 1 (dog). We are Mitzi on the way in and enjoyed her bright smile and outgoing hospitality. We especially enjoyed the fire flies, shiny star, and donkey- Sparks in the back yard. Beautiful surrounding and convince location to hit all the gorgeous waterfalls.

We rent AirBNB several times a year, this is going in the books for our very favorite one! Pam & her husband are super nice, had great recommendations. The house adorable, the property beautiful ! I can't say enough good! We'll be back!

This was our second time staying here, and we plan to return often. The location is ideal for a quiet retreat. Beautiful surroundings that make you feel as if you’re in a mountain cabin, yet only 15 minutes from downtown Chattanooga. Very clean, spacious, and tastefully designed, with plenty of amenities.
