I cannot recommend this place enough!! First off the privacy and the view was spectacular. We were greeted by the cutest dogs! We were able to rest and enjoy the fire pit while lying on the hammock. And the host took us around to see his goats, horses and dogs! It was so enjoyable! I will recommend it to anyone who needs to escape from the city life!

This a cozy and comfortable space for exploring the area. Everything was clean, the decor is fun, and every corner is appointed with care and attention. The hot tub overlooking the river is a special treat! Mary Katherine is a kind and responsive host as well. The roads definitely require 4x4 if it’s been raining, but I no problems getting in. This is a wonderful, peaceful place.

I stayed here with my family of 4 and our dog. We absolutely loved the cabin! The location and aesthetic of it was exactly everything we were looking for. Arion & Wendy we’re very accommodating and responded back in a timely manner. The cabin is just how it looks! It’s a nice getaway from the city! We’d love to come here again for sure!

Love this cabin! This is our second time staying here and it’s a joy. The fire pit is a good time and the DVD selection has some classics for entertainment. Off grid feel with access to a good hike down the road.

Cozy Getaway Close to Town – Loved the Hot Tub! This cabin was the perfect little escape! It’s nothing fancy, but it had everything we needed for a relaxing long weekend. The location is great — tucked just far enough away to feel private, but still only a short drive to town for groceries, restaurants, and a coffee run. The cabin itself is clean and comfortable. The bed was surprisingly comfy, and the kitchen had just enough to cook simple meals. The real highlight, though, was the hot tub. So nice to soak in it at night under the stars — super peaceful. If you’re looking for a chill spot to unwind with easy access to town, this cabin’s a solid choice.

Scott is an exceptional host and The Grove is a treasure find !!! From the cozy, comfortable and private cabin to the beautiful surroundings of nature trails, wildlife, and magical star gazing , this is our all time favorite Airbnb ! We have stayed here multiple times each year for the past 5 years and highly recommend The Grove !!!

I chose this cabin specifically to celebrate my mother’s birthday, just one week to the day before the WNC floods. She was just awe struck the whole weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Nestled beside a tranquil brook, this cozy cabin is the perfect retreat for those looking to unplug and unwind… or use as a home base as you see all the sights around it! Surrounded by lush greenery, it offers a serene escape with the soothing sound of running water that beckons you to relax. It has two patios overlooking the beautiful river below so you can sit and enjoy. The cabin's rustic charm is complemented by modern amenities, making it a seamless blend of comfort and nature. This hidden gem is a sanctuary of peace! The only con I can imagine is the master bathroom is very petite, but there is a second, larger bathroom.

We had a short stay on our trip to the coast, but will be back with out a doubt. The A frame is so cool and I loved the craftsmanship and little details they put in it. The area was quiet and so pretty, thank you for this beautiful experience!

Had an amazing weekend here celebrating my anniversary! Ryan was super responsive and offered activities for us to do during our stay. The weather was not the best during our trip but luckily the cabin was perfect for us to hang out at-- love a hot tub moment. Would have loved to use the fire place but we forgot we had to bring our own wood, would deff recommend doing that!!

My partner and I had a wonderful stay in Nicole's airstream camper. It is such a magical spot with great amenities. The hot tub after a hike on an evening with cool mountain air was a highlight for us. It is a perfect spot to stay for a getaway in Boone. Nicole is very responsive and friendly and wants to make sure you are comfortable during your stay. Though you are right next to the house, there are plenty of privacy fences and it still feels like you are very secluded in the woods. You have all the basics in the kitchen and a thoughtful selection of teas and snacks and are equipped for you to have a good cup of coffee in the morning. We didn't find the driveway in a non-AWD car that difficult to get up to the property but I have driven on these types of narrow, steep, gravel driveways before so that is something to keep in mind if you don't have AWD (and something Nicole makes sure is mentioned in the description). We really hope to be back some day!

After settling home from our trip to sugar grove NC it is time to write a review. Our stay on the property was outstanding! It is the perfect remote location to relax and unwind whether you’re traveling solo, as a family or a couple. Our stay in the airstream was top notch with an immaculate view of the stars from the hot tub every night and plenty to do on the property during the day. We loved looking at the art throughout the woods and going on walks during the day and at dusk. As two childless adults we had a blast on the water slide and feeding the animals, as well as visiting the town of Boone for shopping and “trashcan falls” right up the road. The only pointer id give to the next guest is to bring a few tupperware containers if you decide to cook so that you can save what is leftover. Other than that the airstream was equipped with everything we needed and then some! I will highly recommend a stay on magic mountain and look forward to visiting again.

This place was great. My family and myself had an awesome time. The house was spectacular. This was our first time staying in a tiny house and it did not disappoint. Everything was comfortable and played out perfectly. Was just right outside of town but far enough to be quiet. Thank you Janet and family for letting us enjoy your place.

Absolutely beautiful place. The bathrooms and tubs were honestly the standout of the whole house. The kitchen was fully stocked with amenities. The exterior porch was great for stargazing.

Kirstin’s tiny home cabin was exactly what we were looking for! It is absolutely adorable, and super comfortable! We would stay here for a longer time if we ever get the chance because the amount of storage is ample! And all the details like hooks on the walls (everywhere!), beautiful mosaic art pieces, and cozy fireplace make it easy to feel right at home. Kirstin was an incredibly responsive host and helpful throughout our stay. Thank you Kirstin! My daughter and I had a wonderful stay and look forward to booking with you at one of your other properties someday soon!

We enjoyed our stay here so much! We wanted a relaxing family getaway for spring break and Pie in the Sky was perfect for us. I loved cooking in the fully stocked kitchen and the views were so peaceful. Everything was so clean and we also had fun playing games and puzzles together. 10/10 recommend Pie in the Sky!

The kitchen was especially impressive—stocked with quality cookware, dishes, and everything we needed to prepare meals easily. If you really want to get away from it all this is the place. Stephanie And Spencer’s place was amazing. Very cozy with amazing views. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming communication was great as well. Would come back again.

Diane has a super modern, beautifully crafted Tiny House. We kept saying wow at each little design element. So clever and also really well made. The two of us had all the room we needed inside the home, and that’s not counting the large deck with grill, and the separate fire pit area that is also quite new and well maintained. This is a great spot just a mile off the parkway and 8 miles from Boone.

This was the perfect space to relax and rewind. The private balcony, cozy fireplace, and view of the mountain made us want to stay forever. Eric was extremely helpful and friendly. He responded asap - couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Beautiful, cozy cottage with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Buck greeted me and let me know a few things about the historic one room cabin. Easy access to Boone and Blowing Rock. Loved, loved, loved!!

Perfect weekend escape. The cabin had everything our family of 4 needed with a beautiful view. Watching the animals from the porch in the evenings was a fun bonus. We will not hesitate to stay here again next time we have the opportunity to return to the area.

Totally great spot with amazing views from all around the house really. Both beds are super comfortable and we loved being able to bring our pup along! Dana was great and always super responsive pretty much right away. We enjoyed the hot tub every night of our stay! Can’t wait to come back as we were sad leaving this morning.

Such a beautiful home in a beautiful location! We were there for a tour of the App State campus in Boone. This home gave us an added bonus of being close to downtown Blowing Rock. The view of the sunrise while having our coffee in the morning is more than enough to bring us back again!
